The crazy thing is that if you look at this person’s other art, they’re actually good. I honestly thought this was troll art when I first saw it because of the face the character is making and the level of effort that looks like was put into it.

To my knowledge the artist is talented, but it’s not the best. Standard furry fare but they seem to do a style that’s at least moderately unique. I haven’t checked out her work in forever aside from this piece because it makes me laugh.

I’ve more found that ones with possum sonas come in two flavors: super live and and let live and SJW. Essentially really chill or really uptight tumblrinas with almost no in-between. I have no clue why the species appealed to these polar opposites, but it happened.

It’s the artist’s sona I think? I don’t know the details, really. I don’t follow her work because I saw the crazy SJW extensions of pride flags and noped out.

I was actually planning on posting that person's artwork in this thread, but people on Tumblr tend to change URL's faster then anti vaxx kids dying so it was hard to keep up with them. The worst part is that their art style is sorta OK but they waste it on run of the mill pride fanart instead of doing their own stuff, last time I checked they were 16 so it should've been expected.

With the exception of Tough-Guy Ash with a feral Pikachu, most of these are exceptional.

Redesign spergs always fail to capture the basics of good design- simplicity and recognisability. You want crazy colours/dramatic shapes/contrasting textures? Then keep your forms simple and avoid weird patterns and embellishments on top.A skimpy outfit might be unrealistic, but it cuts down on 'noise' and allows the 'centerpiece' of the outifit (armour, hair, a big skirt, big titties) to stand out even from a distance. If your design is a heap of buttons/ruffles/layers/flags/patterns then it's gonna be a pain to draw and it'll look like trash at a glance. Even if it's beautifully drawn- in a video game you're not looking at the intricacies of the character's butt-ruffles, you just wanna recognise who's who and what they're doing. Same with characters in anime- imagine some poor animator having to carefully shade the Main Character's gay pride socks and pins in every single frame.

Ok I hate to admit, but I think these are the only redesigns out of all the rest I actually find cute. They're not the best, sure, but at least they're still somewhat recognizable. The others suck ass though.

Also these artists must have skinphobia or something because most of these "redesigns" are just them covering up the characters' cleavage/stomach/legs and thinking they suddenly stopped sexism

And like the other person said: adding too many details ≠ good design.
