Phantom of the Opera. I know it has a devoted fanbase but it always struck me as a normie 'the Joker/Harley Quinn are romantic' type story for people who think they're sophisticated. Seeing tons of fanfiction and gay or landwhale headcanons is just. What.

The whole point of requiring dysphoria to be trans is that then it’s medical, so that transitioning doesn’t need to be paid for out of pocket. That’s like... the reason they exist as a group.

Transgenderism not being considered a mental/medical condition however directly results in companies removing coverage and considering surgery and cross-sex hormones to be cosmetic, so it's really both.
