Minnie being brownwashed is kind of interesting to me, since many historians have claimed that the character design of Mickey Mouse (plus other certain contemporary cartoon characters) is influenced by minstrel shows and their iconic blackface makeup. I'm not sure whether or not such a claim is entirely true, but Minnie being "black-coded" (ugh, that term) isn't too implausible.
