These people drawing trans folk must not have ever deal with an Actually Transitioning trans person in their life (at least FTM).

To actually look like a passing male takes between a year to three years, maybe more. To achieve the "male body" requires actually quite a bit of exercise and emphasis on upper body strength. So if all these characters are FTM, then they must be going to the gym often and on their 2nd year or more of transitioning. Otherwise their shoulders stay very small and they have very big heads and it's just WEIRD.

Neither character looks anything like how they're drawn here. Harvey's wider than Shane is.
Either way this has the typical trappings of Tumblr art. The worst part for me is the excessive amounts of blush. Blushing doesn't work like that. All they had to do for blush was make it only a bit redder and darker than the regular skin tone and apply it to the cheeks. Using a watercolor brush in their illustration program would help it to blend in more and not look so apparent. Which is how blushing works for the most part.

You know they don't. A lot these so-called trans characters have no form of human anatomy whatsoever. I'm coming to realize they opt for so-called trans and alternative body types as an excuse to avoid really getting into the logistics of the common anatomy of the people they're trying to depict, and stick to their clusters of random shapes box and cardboard tube people.

Actually taking time to know actually people, or at least research and see examples of what you're talking about would kill their sweet sweet note harvesting spam art.

I agree that this has potential, but the mouth being dropped so low that it’s almost on top of the chin and the lack of a philtrum makes it look as if something is...wrong with them. And let’s not even get into the noses, they don’t suit this style at all.

It's recovering weaboo face syndrome (RWFS)-- when Ex-weebs try to draw more realistic but they've never learned how the face actually works. They just know they need to change the size of things. You get mouths hanging off the bottom of the face with no room for a jaw, doorstop noses, and no forehead to speak of. Often includes shibe brows or caterpillar brows. The mouths usually ape the SU style because learning to draw a real mouth with a cupid's bow is hard and they never had to do it for anime. (|) is enough for them.

This person in particular figured out that the nose shouldn't be a mile vertical...shame they didn't realize they needed to raise the mouth to match

Character assassination is another issue that gets used often in these pics. Take a character with a serious demeanor; the fanart gives them a wide smiling face or has them act completely out of character. This a basic problem that undermines the character and shows a lack of understanding.

For example, people flipped their shit when Samus was altered in Other M to be something weak and fragile. Previously she had always been a strong silent hero, now she was scared of Ridley? SJW operates on a similar level by changing what makes the characer who they are in favor of "muh head cannon".
