They did make his skin darker in Devilman Crybaby. But it's pretty obvious that it's a tan, and that it was done so his character design would contrast with Ryo's.

His skin in Crybaby is more of a sickly grey, if you compare him to other characters.

In the 80's OVAs, his skin color doesn't change, he just gets some muscles and that sick-ass eyeliner.

As I've said several times before, the darkest a non-mixed Japanese person can be is not much darker than a tan white person, if at all.

How is this not a racist caricature?

On the one hand, at least it's not the usual Fluttershy hijabi, but I don't understand this outfit at all. This is Applejack, right? How does that shirt work? Why not give her a modest outfit that actually makes sense with her character, like overalls and a long sleeved flannel?

Also those see through boots are very ugly in real life.

Why is it that artists who claim to be super duper not-racist always seem to draw minorities in such insulting ways? Seriously, I've seen actual racist alt-right comics that depict brown/Asian/jewish people more respectfully than some of the examples in this thread.
