It's because overwatch is popular enough to catch a many's eyes. If it were relatively obscure or didn't have such an appealing art style, it wouldn't be plagued with cancer. That being said, the people who draw this shit either 1) Don't own the game but wanna look like they do but don't have any interest in generally playing it or 2) have the game, suck so much ass that they're probably the people who get others salty, and then put the game down and don't touch it again. Or they do, but continue to suck ass.
 
I tried some of that tumbr art. I'm pretty sure I missed some shit, but I had to put the Rudolph the alcoholic reindeer nose.

Or, maybe because, I don't know, almost everyone in the game is a 'POC', and the main character is a dyke?

I never understood why they always try to make the Jojos trans. I mean they're all like 2 meters tall with bodies that look like they were carved from granite (well except for Johnny and the girl one, but even then she's still pretty tall and muscular and Johnny is pretty built despite being a manlet). It's just weird to me that they take these characters that are meant to be ridiculously masculine brutes and say that they either used to be women or want to be women. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just don't understand why they love taking these characters who's angle is that they're ridiculously macho and try to make them feminine.

It also shows their ignorance of actual trans people, there's only so much testosterone can do, most trans men sound and look like they are teenagers or pretty boys, not to mention their usual short heights. The Jojo characters are Herculean beefcakes that stand above 6ft, something most trans men can't be. Some are, but that's usually because they have a constant and strict work out and diet regimen or are actually in the fucking Olympic (or because they use steroids, which can make anybody look the part)

Yeah before Overwatch you used to see this a lot with Team Fortress 2.

I've noticed they seem to think that all people with freckles have tons of them all over their body. Some people just have a light spray across the face or a scant few.
