because being as white as Japanese is not POC enough for them and even if they do they always using 'BUT THERE ARE JAPANESE WHO ALSO HAVE DARK SKIN!!'
Okinawan and Osakan have darker shade of skin than the rest of Japanese but even nowhere near as dark as Southeast Asian,but ofc tumblr didn't know or ignore that fact
