these ppl seem to have a weird idea that if something isnt downright disgusting, its not REALLY [thing thats conventionally unattractive]
a character whos fat and even has rolls and stretch marks can be really attractive, but if they are, some ppl dont consider em "REALLY fat" for whatever reason, since THEY THEMSELVES associate this quality with ugliness and then proceed to act like ONLY THEY are attracted to it
but truth is i guarantee u most em ep probably arent actually attracted to these overtly exaggerated caricatures they make, they just want to seem progressive for being attracted to them, like some kinda outlier, an impossible beacon of progressiveness
essentially they make these features synonymous with ugliness and then humblebrag thru their art abt how THEY find it beautiful
