Tfw you check out the work of an artist you used to like in the past only to see they've gone apeshit. (Zedig was referenced earlier in this thread but fuck, this hurts)
Man, this is a real feel trip. The "Before Tumblr" images are visually appealing and the characters are diverse without there being any sort of checklist of "diversity points" to cover. The anatomy doesn't look awkward, either, and the colours are lovely albeit a bit dull on the second image. The colouring in the first image reminds me somewhat of Studio Ghibli.
The "After Tumblr" images... what happened? The characters look like they're made of plastic, and the anatomy is too exaggerated to be appealing. The colours on the last image clash and are a bit difficult to look at.

I've seen those muscle women around on twitter, found hem cute at first but the more you look into them the weirder they are. The hands are the worst offender, too much beasty for a sport character. The skin hair just makes no sense, all athletes/sportive types shave, cause skinhair is annoying

Since everyone is finding horrifying recent art from old fandoms, I feel like bringing up a jojo one, since it just struck on me how much they butchered a character I've otherwise seen some mild tumblrfied depictions. I thought since no one cares for part 1 it would be free from its grasp
