As of September 1st, Singapore have made it illegal to vape in their country
and punishments for Singaporean citizens range from
- Fines
- Fines & Getting Caned
- Getting Caned and Jail Time
- Fines, Getting Caned and Jail time

As such these restrictions on vaping in Singapore goes as far as being punishable if you post IMAGES OF YOU VAPING on social media.
But aside from the articles of locals being caught vaping in Singapore

such examples as.

the funniest is the one involving people who are in Singapore on a visa.

Myanmar Teenager loses Singapore Long-term visit pass and banned from returning

Taiwanese Man loses work permit and get deported and banned from returning

Why should this be taken note?
Because you have an example of a civilized country, immediately deporting and banning people who visit their country, and commit a crime in their country.

Something, Europe and USA and western civilization as a whole should take note,
because Europe, USA and other western countries have all these nonsensical bureaucracy on preventing the immediate detention and deportation of criminals. Which is ridiculous.
Like why tolerate people who arent from your country, committing a crime in your country?

Seems dumb to do this if they still let cigarettes be bought and sold. Why would you allow the more harmful product while banning the less harmful alternative?
I think it's more about showcasing the supremacy of the state than it is about eradicating the suckling of death sticks, Knowing Singapore they probably banned it just to reduce littering. Vapes being "less harmful" is also a bad meme, yeah it's less bad for causing traditional cancer, but the meth mouth/popcorn lung combined with the godawful environmental consequences (mountains of lithium batteries = NASTY) don't really hold up the argument there, why ban chopping off t**s when chopping off f**t is still legal?

Both the things you mentioned are very easily avoided, though. The environmental impact comes from disposable vapes. Disposables existing can be fixed with just basic consumer regulations, require them to have a charging port and a refillable tank. You can totally ban disposables while still allowing reusables. I've used the same vape for years now and there's no sign that I'll have to replace it anytime soon. I've kept mine longer than some people keep smartphones.

The popcorn lung thing is essentially a myth with a small element of truth to it. That being that people were buying dodgy black market THC vape juice that was adulterated with Vitamin E acetate. Regular vape juice does not and should not contain this ingredient. The 'meth mouth' thing just comes from people not brushing their teeth enough, which is bad on its own but vaping makes worse.

Unless you're hitting the thing all day, every day, then while vaping isn't good for you, it's not going to cause you serious issues.

Okay that explains why you've got such a gaping blindspot, it's okay, you're not retarded; just biased :smug:

Easily avoided yes, actually avoided? Lol nope, the prevalence of disposable e-vapes is an observable phenomena just ask anyone who gets paid to empty bins.
And yeah the health scares are just scares... til they aren't, it's a fresh frontier of new horrors and we won't properly know for a good few decades, but the anecdotal evidence doesn't lie; shits nasty, we all know it too. Just look at the excuses you come up with, they're good ones don't get me wrong, but they're deflections the truth that it's a bad thing; here's to 12 million canings.

Vaping isn't good for you, absolutely. But the question is whether it's worse for you than smoking tobacco. All the evidence seems to suggest that it isn't.

What I'm curious about is whether nicotine pouches (Zyns and such) are banned in Singapore as well, because they seem to be even less harmful than vaping is. I use Zyns as my main form of nicotine intake throughout the day and supplement that with vaping (usually when I first wake up). The potential health trade-offs of that approach seem reasonable enough to me. My point is that if Singapore only gives the thumbs up to the worst, most damaging way possible to use nicotine, then that's a dumb policy.

Zyn and it's like is prohibited in Singapore.

There is probably a couple of reasons why vapes would be banned - retarded Indonesians that have no manners and vape wherever they want (like inside malls), or dodgy Chinese vapes used to hide other stimulants.

E cigarettes are also banned in Singapore, and from what I recall smoking is only allowed in restricted areas. I am sure if it wasn't grandfathered in they would also ban it.
