some recent hits like The Bad Guys and Puss in Boots
They were in development before the Illumination people got put in charge of them (though I still haven't watched The Bad Guys, the art style pisses me off). Shrek 5 was only announced because of the merger.

I have no hopes in it being anything but decent, but I wish it would be left alone instead of trying to make a cinematic universe out of it. Puss in Boots 2 was way too damn good, just let it be.

Leaked images of Shrek 5's storyboard. The kingdom of Ever After now in the mid 2000's for technology to help a younger generation identify with the character.

Just want to post how it’s wild to think that GTA VI and Shrek 5 will be considered a thing in this timeline, and more people are in a mix of being both nervous and optimistic. Yet in the same breath, there’s not enough original storytelling to make new and different IPs that don’t mooch off of already established characters.

Either way, seeing a new, alleged Shrek movie in 2025 will be strange to think about.

Nonononono, fuck!

This shouldn't be allowed to happen. They already fucked the ogre with the last movie, which had a completely invalid premise. Rumpelstiltskin convinced the king and queen to sign away their kingdom to save their daughter because Shrek's wish caused him to never exist thus he couldn't save The Princess.

NO!

The whole "Princess in the Tower" schtick was cooked up by The King & The Fairy Godmother as a scheme as part of the payment for her turning The Frog into The Prince, who could then marry the then Princess [who is the current Queen] and became King when the current King & Queen died, which is exactly what happened. Prince Charming was always meant to faux-rescue The Princess from the tower, who would then marry Prince Charming, making him King when the current King & Queen died, which is what The Fairy Grandmother wanted as payment. The King knew this, keeping it concealed from his wife, The Queen. He never would have signed away his kingdom to Rumpelstiltskin knowing that Prince Charming was going to "rescue" The Princess because of the collusion between him and The Fairy Godmother. Shrek just happened to fuck up The King's plan with The Fairy Godmother by rescuing The Princess before Prince Charming showed up because that was what Lord Farquaad wanted as payment to make the swamp Shrek lived in his rightful property under the law. This was the entire premise of the second fucking movie!

As a result the 4th movie is complete garbage and can't be cannon. How the fuckers that wrote and made the 4th movie couldn't keep continuity with the 2nd movie is beyond me. It's not that fucking difficult to see their idea was retarded. I'm not fucking Fermi but if I could see it, it should be obvious to the people who are making the damn thing!

Rate me autistic all you want, but one doesn't need to be an autist to see that the people writing this shit are retarded.

Autistic? Yes.
Correct? Also yes.

I hope this isn't like the Incredibles 2 whwre everyone sounds old, tired, and it's on a mission to put down men.

The big red flag is the people involved in the creative process

The Director is the same director of the Dreamworks Trolls movies

The Story was pitched by the CEO of Illumination

The Screenwriter did the Boss Baby movies

Will this automatically make it a bad movie? No we barely know anything about it, but it’s not a good sign.

Hopefully all three of these guys brought their A-Game otherwise the movie will just be incredibly mid at best

>Illumination
>A-Game

isn't this company well known for making movies very cheaply by having the company run the lowst cost-model possible so they can reach the lowest common denominator to rake in gullable people's money?

Yea, they never had an "A-Game" to begin with

Sadly yes.

I won’t be surprised if Shrek 5 is just the movie of all time.

122k like to 253k dislikes, comments off. Have some balls cowards. Shrek-posting in the comments would me more entertaining than whatever the fuck this movie is going to be with the screenplay by Boss Baby 1 and 2 guy.
To be fair, YouTube automatically shuts off comments on family content, so might not be them.
