Should I return to Twitter?

Musk is pivoting Twitter to be friendlier to those outside the Silicon Valley filter bubble. This means me. I lost my ~4k follower #GamerGate account in late '18. Logged into it again with the recent news. I'm still suspended, sure.

Do I want to return? Should I want to return? I'm pretty happy with Gab, the Fedi, and the Farms. Long-term, I want less of my life spent online. Making efforts to get back on Twitter seem to run contrariwise to a goal to be less online. Nevertheless, it is an incomparable tool for networking.

Maybe my indecision makes sense to someone else out there. Figured I'd at least attempt to solicit a few ideas.

I'm sure it's a fine tool for updating normies but I've never had a Twitter and any utility it provided I could gain without one. The limitations of what you can do on the platform also just don't appeal to me, but then again I prefer online forums like this one so maybe I'm just not hip with the times.

Twitter's format was always cancerous. I don't care who's running it or what interest group is behind it. The purpose of Twitter is to harvest your data while they keep you endlessly scrolling so they can sell it to advertisers.

Stop using social media. Do literally fucking anything else with your life.

You have enough character space to whine and argue, but not enough to provide any data.

I have an account I haven't accessed in a year but I doubt I'd go back, I'm not sure what purpose it would serve.

In fact, I can not think of a single thing Twitter provides that is actually important at all TBH.

I abandoned Twitter for quite sometime but since the rise of vtubers, I just lurk on their accounts occasionally. And I sometimes look at what Varg posts @GandalftheWhi19.
