Details often help. Just saying the stress is making you sick is rather vague. Can the stress be reduced and do you ultimately like working there?
 
Honestly, turning to the kiwifarms because you're so desperate for an excuse to quit should be a sign to you that you should just do it. Be responsible, prepare what you need to prepare, make sure you have some kind of savings to sit on, and all that, obviously. But yeah, if you're turning to the kiwifarms for an excuse to make a life altering choice, then the way I see it, you've pretty much already made up your own mind.
 
If you get yourself fired you're going to have to explain to future employers that you fucked around and lost your job just because you didn't like it anymore. That won't reflect well on you in the future.
 
It might look good on your CV if you can say you're currently employed and have been employed by them for 8 years but want a change in career, they'll know you are at the very least dependable.
 
The reason you could be feeling stress now is because you have lost your sex drive. Does your penis not get hard anymore? This could be a sign that you have become infertile. Private message me two pictures of your penis, one flacid and one erect or you can just post it in this thread and I should be able to tell you what is wrong. Try jerking off at least four times a day and if you are still stressed out at worked you should probably quit. But don't actually quit. Start being less productive at your job so that you will eventually get fired naturally and that way you can collect unemployment for a bit. You can't collect unemployment if you choose to leave.

I wouldn't quit my job unless I had like 4 backup plans, and one being a worst case scenario last resort.

Like for me 1 would be to find another job, 2 would be to get on some form of employment insurance for a few months, 3 would be to apply to a job for much less pay/qualifications, and 4 would be military.

You do not want to get fired, this is especially bad. You either want to resign or get to the point where you can negotiate with them that you did. Especially in the US you will likely not get a good job reference if you tell them you were fired for something you did.

In my country of Canada you can get onto something called Employment Insurance. Which is a system all workers pay into and can become entitled to upon losing their jobs. However they lose the ability to use Employment Insurance if they were fired for something they did wrong.
 
I was going to make a smart ass comment at first but I can relate. I just left a shitty job that was killing me a few weeks ago and I gotta admit I feel so much better now; so either you stay there, put in a two weeks notice or shit on the bosses desk...pretty sure that's not normally covered in employee handbooks so getting fired over it means you can still collect unemployment.
 
If you're an American, you have the full right to quit anyjob and look for a new one. unless you're in some communist shithole or you don't have and other good options.
 
I've voted no, but that will change to an instant yes if you post here that you have another job lined up.
 
I voted yes on the principle that no job is worth making you sick. Like others above me said though, have either a second job lined up or savings to fall back on.
 
Put in an application or resume somewhere else before you quit. Then only quit if you get hired on. Or maybe you can talk to your employer about less hours?

my job is to make clever and amusing posts here on kiwi farms but i fucking hate this place and null wont fire me
