Should I put pillbugs in my hermit crab tank?

They can give my guys something to hunt and eat any food the crabs stash away. Sounds like a good idea to me. Heard springtails are better janitors, though.

Springtails are more ideal, but terrestrial isopods and hermit crabs can live together. They're not likely to try to eat the crab, they're more interested in decaying matter.

Yeah sure, that sounds like a good idea.

Even if the springtails are technically better at the task they're less charming than pill bugs are. Although personally I'm still a little wigged out by the fact pill bugs are crustaceans, and also every time I look at them I imagine giant isopods which are fucking horrifying to look at.

This thread shows up when you Google anything about putting a cleanup crew in a crab tank. Tempted to delete it because I'd rather not be indirectly responsible for kids coming across this site.

If any kids are reading this, go play Pokeymans or kiss frogs or whatever kids do these days. This site is very boring. You will not like it.

Honestly I'd rather have my kids on here than reddit or Instagram. I am not a parent though and Id probably be a terrible one but the point stands!
