Short Films General - Movies, but less so

Any Kiwis watch short films? Movies are my go-to media of choice when I'm trying to unwind, but I don't always have the time for a full feature. And because there's not much potential for directors and producers to make money off them, a lot of really good ones end up online for free.

Some of my favourites from recently:

A Mind Sang, by Vier Nev. A really trippy and unique animation from the point of view of a pregnant woman. 6 minutes.
Brothers, by Robert Eggers. The first thing he ever shot before making The VVitch and The Lighthouse. 10 minutes.
Thunder Road, by Jim Cummings. Also his first project, later got expanded into a full movie. 13 minutes.
Necktie, by Yorgos Lanthimos. Extremely brief, but immediately engaging. 2 minutes.

Also highly recommend The Fall by Jonathan Glazer, if you can find it. I couldn't get a decent link that would work internationally.

The tragic story of a reaper that must watch life from a distance.

A song about the value of life.

One of the most gorgeous and ambitious projects I have seen and I found it by accident.

This is Alive in Joburg, the short that would be adapted into District 9. I actually like it better than District 9 - I think Neill Blomkamp has some great ideas, but they often lose momentum when expanded. This basically does the same as District 9, but in 6 minutes.
