I haven't had the time to research the AfD, at least not in-depth, but they don't strike me as extremist. Right now, they're roughly comparable to American conservatives: free speech, rational immigration, cheaper energy, and so on. They aren't Nazis--not yet anyway--but if the Leftist German government continues to smear, stifle, and oppress its political opponents, the people they're libeling and oppressing will almost certainly become more extreme. That's the natural reaction to oppression.

I feel sorry for Aron Pielka and his family, but have the feeling there'll be lots more like him behind bars in the very near future.

My grandmother lost her brother when he was shot by the Germans in France. He was her best friend, apparently a really good man. No kids, that man's influence on further generations is cut off except for however his relationship with my grandma affected her.

I'm really happy my ancestors got on the boat 150 years ago and i'm in the US and not Germany.

My ancestors came here over 250 years ago. Had they fought for the British, I would be Canadian. Thank God they joined the Continental Army. That's what Germans have to do. They can't runaway to another country; they have to fight to keep their country. I wish you Europeans the best of luck.
