There's definitely NOT any conflict between party Establishment-favored candidates and ones said Establishment considers outsiders. The DNC establishment certainly doesn't put their thumbs on the scale so as to weigh in favor of their approved candidates. A Sanders / Gabbard ticket is probably the strongest the Dems have right now.

Well, just because Rice was in Bush's administration doesn't mean she's 100% like him. Plus by 2024, it would be over 20 years (oh god I'm old) since the beginning of the Iraq war. Things change.

A Sanders/Gabbard ticket would get destroyed. As much as I'd like to see two old boomer New Yorkers go at each other, I don't think a literal Communist and a lady that the media has been smearing as a Russian asset would sit well with the general electorate. I don't think that ticket would pull enough Millennial Socialist/Gen-X Libertarians to get a win. Strange bedfellows. That's hot.
