Hey everyone, I got exiled by ProcyonLotor about 2 years back and earlier today I thought I'd try and appeal my ban bc why not. I knew it wasn't gonna work but I wanted to see if anything changed over there, evidently not. I'm glad I'm not the only one documenting this bs, I'm just waiting for the house of cards to come crashing down one day.
What'd you get banned over exactly?

I called Procy a cunt, that's literally it, I had previous violations and was one away from a perma. That was the last one to get me banned from IRC which as you know is basically exile. No one followed up to see how I was doing, it was like I didn't exist. Par for the course when it comes to SCP

You can give it a read for yourself, I was calling the site19 chat out for being exclusionary and that really rubbed Procyon the wrong way. So he made it his prerogative to give me a hard time wherever I went. My previous violations were for slip ups due to me being 16.

well, I probably did, but to be fair I completely forgot I called him a cunt so imagine you're hanging out in site19 for the first time in months after being chased out with pitchforks and knives, and some furry moderator who hates you says "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't fucking ban you right now." I thought it fair to cuss him out and leave. INGSOCP conditioned me so well that I can't confront them properly even two years after leaving. The way they speak, it's like their mind is already made up, so what's the point?
Also, yeah it's hilarious how seriously they take themselves, like a bunch of Eric Cartman's with authoritah. I seriously should've realized how much they get off on enforcing rules and how it's a power trip disguised as writing site.

Seems like they'll be doing this to any leaks of the Chat Staff from now on. I'd warn the SCP Staff Leaks Twitter, they are probably next.
Staff: I don't get it. You'd rather me publish this stuff on the well-watched forum of KiwiFarms, as opposed to my little corner of the internet that has 9 subscribers? Bad war gaming.
Edit: Also, every one of the things this Medium notice tells me is bad is something SCP Staff do daily on O5 and in their chats, that’s an OD of irony.

Regarding my thoughts on novel-sized SCPs, a Youtuber I've been watching recently has been posting videos regarding a skip called 'SCP-6500', now you may think it's not that bad... until you look at the watch times for each video.
Part 1: 58:56

Part 4: 1:05:00
Part 5: 1:41:48
Part 6: 1:48:20
By this point, a thought has to go through your mind: Why the Hell would you read a skip that is around 6 hours long (correct me if I'm wrong) when the original aspect that made earlier SCPs so fun to read was the mysterious and intriguing briefness?

I thought the first part was ok but I found myself sleeping throughout the rest. It made me question why the articles have turned into tales all of a sudden.

So after briefly scanning this page... what IS this SCP? Something about entropy, specifically about SCPs? So it's a process that kills other SCPs? Okay, sure I'm on board.
But then further down, skipping these weird notes or something I don't understand, there's an RPG? Is that what this is? And you have to play/read the four different paths to access the rest of the document? After cheating by changing the URL to offset/10, the end of the adventure that requires O5 credentials is some kind of fanfic where the reader/protagonist becomes O5-13? And then an Overseer meeting, voting on dissolving the SCP Foundation.
Oh Jesus Christ, that's not the end, there's another adventure depending on whether you voted Yay or Nay. The offsets go up to 17, and 18 is a blank page, so I guess that's the end of that.
I was going to say maybe I should watch that series of videos, or find a wiki summary on this, but man, this is a lot. It took me like 10 minutes just to glance it all over. No wonder a read through is seven and a half hours long. And I'm no more knowledgeable on what this SCP is than when I began.

Sounds like Kaktus' 'masterpiece' half-article half-tale that The Exploring Series took 2 hours to surmise, that also envolved a character ascending to O5 status, but at least there is no ridiculous anime swordfight in it, right?
The ending is that the Foundation itself turns out to be the source of the anomalous dying off, so they have to dissolve themselves in order to stop it.
So basically it's a variant on the whole "X are the REAL monsters!" trope.
