Out of the blue, my youngest threw her arms around me and said I was the best mother in the whole wide world. She's a very demonstrative child and usually she does this after she gets a privilege or a surprise gift, but today she did it just because. Her eyes were shining and she added, "God told me that you needed a hug", which was pretty amazing because I had been feeling torn up. It really made my day.

There's a few. I danced with my wife this morning as we were getting ready for work because our song came on her Pandora station, my son wanted nothing more in the world than to sit in my lap while he ate his breakfast this morning. After he finished his oatmeal we went to play in the yard with the dog while I waited for my sister in law to show up and babysit him so I could go to work.

Jumped on the scale and found out I lost 10 lbs in the last month. Seems getting rid of the soda and replacing that with water was the key to me losing weight.

Today my project manager for my college thesis shifted the work distribution around to be more even. Long story short I'm now only building one functional prototype for our system rather than the three I was expected to build previously.

This was actually a few days ago but my friend noticed my hand was really cold so she held it. I was kinda spooked at first because I’m not really used to that but it was nice and warm and I’m cold all the time. I probably embarrassed myself though as I was blushing
