I've always had a pretty basic opinion on Satanists. To me they seemed like the male version of tumblr witches. It seemed like a masturbatory 'fuck you dad' to the major religions. Even when people talk about satanic elites and that shit with spirit cooking, I still felt it was a cringy thing they were doing for the hell of it. I've always dismissed it,both as lame and not dangerous.

However, after reading Children for the Devil, and hearing about the Finders, its got me thinking more about Satanism as a movement. Is it really a bigger, more dangerous thing that is a problem if it grows, or will it forever be nothing but cringe wannabes larping?

I'd welcome any recommendations of more reading material about the subject if any farmers have some.

By far the most visible modern 'Satanists' are LARPing antitheist attentionwhores who's ideology is basically otherwise typical SJW western style progressive and does not fit in with any sort of Satanism you would derive from source texts, occultism, or even pop culture. Secular Satanism used to be a big thing in the New Atheist movement and it was basically "troll the Christcucks" with programs like After School Satan. I would say though, that most of the Christians they troll are far more amoral and Satanic under the definitions that Christ laid down. Hypocritical people who have been told to be better but continually bring black evil into the world thinking that they have a get out of jail free card and moral superiority. In the end those people are the adherents of the Devil, not Satan. The thing to understand is that under the original Hebrew scripture Ha-Satan is the Accuser, an angel of God who tempts and tests people for their moral fortitude. At least in the USA, a country with freedom of speech built on enlightenment values, the secular Satanists are a stress test against tyrants and zealots who would destroy those values. They might trend left and be highly materialistic but they also tend to be law-abiding citizens with firm moral values based on enlightenment principles.

Authentic, religious Satanism isn't really a thing. The angel they're praying to is firmly on the side of God and goodness, so the edgy bois with upside down crosses and black clothing are essentially praying to destroy themselves. Just a basic look into the scripture describing Satan disabuses one of the idea that it's someone to worship and please by committing evil acts. All of the texts about Satan depicting it as evil are some kind of LARP or fiction, the same thing with Lucifer, considering the "Morning Star" is a direct moniker of Jesus Christ. However, the people who worship the archetypes of evil fundamentally worship the Devil, or Legion, under its many guises. Atheists, hedonists, nihilists, anti-Christ Christians, demon worshippers, they're basically a hive mind for a truly real darkness that is ultimately malignant and corrosive. The kind of retards who listened to Black Sabbath thinking it was "Satanic" or Devil music, showed up to be degenerate fucks, or screamed that the music was evil and they should be killed for playing it, and then found the crew wearing crosses and lamenting the absence of Christ in our physical lives. If you want to see Devil worshippers in the wild then just browse 4chan's /x/ board, you'll see plenty of black-minded freaks worshipping demons and hedonism under a variety of different names.

The way censorious wokeists act today is an exact reflection of how anti-Christ Christians acted trying to outlaw Pokemon cards and Harry Potter. There is sincere civilizational trauma from the way the Christian churches have acted to tyrannize dissent and consolidate power over the last 2000 years. The Western world is no longer willing to accept the absolute authority of hypocritical institutions that hold orgies, tortured people to death for saying the Earth revolved around the Sun, and rape children en masse.
