I even wonder why he bothered to post anything at all.
It's not like Nicky has a job he has to worry about keeping or he's worried about going to jail. He lives off of hipster welfare and regular welfare with a bit of freelance writing schtick thrown in for the usual suspects and so far all he's done is be really really really creepy.
His "friends" will defend him no matter what and frankly it seems they really do not care that he's a pedofork so why the need for a massive sperg post on his innocence?
Maybe he thinks he will be vindicated by history and wants to make sure that in 100 years school children will read the story of his struggles and admire his passion?
That's all I got. Seems like a lot of fuss over nothing.

Because apologizing would require admitting that not only are you wrong, but that you have accepted responsibility for your actions. Personal responsibility is like soap to ADF. If you have taken responsibility, you can't claim the victim moral high ground anymore.

But yeah the GAF thread is funny as fuck. The lengths they'll go to defend Nyberg just because she's anti-GG is astounding, and of course any account committing the arch-crime of rightfully questioning why so many users are posting in defense of a pedophile-by-admission is being cut down rather swiftly. GAF is both hilarious and sad when it comes to GG, for whatever reason.

To me is depressing because even neutral stuff gets you banned. One fucker there is already using the Joshua Goldberg shot even when he knows that guy played both... And if anybody dares to mention that get banned by a fat neckbeard mod that can be bothered to take his anti depressants.
How is fair that shitty thread is in the gaming side when Butts at the end of the day is a nobody mostly famous for being obnoxious and knowing the right people. But is needed to ashame everybody that have some ideas similar to "GobbyGabby so clever" because gamerculture...
Is sad because I cannot see anyone agreeing with defending Butts (yeah, hate Breibart, but the stuff was there well before and people that know Butts confirmed it that it was public) if it was not because they know they will bite the dust and not allowed to post about there.
How can they say that they care about "progress" when are not willing to call out someone that took crotch photos of her 8 year old nice at her 20's. But fuck JRPGs and 200 year old loli Dragons or lets say that EA buying CD Projekt will make them have people of color in their fantasy medieval games or let a mod try to create a controversy to harass a developer because a game dared to use the term "trap" in a contextual way (if someone call her out, no problem, we will search a way to ban them).

All of those people screaming harassment and prejudice and misinformation, and the ones screaming the loudest are the ones who flatly refuse to read the article they're crying bullshit on. See, this is why I went into the sciences and not the humanities. In the sciences, the more questions you ask the better a scientist you will be and the more respected you are. In the humanities, flatly refusing to read, analyse and question something is taken as a sign that you're so brilliant that you don't need to even know about something so insignificant.

Eh... I'm in humanities and, even if stuff could get shitty, it never is this bad. In fact, this is the kind of shit I learn there to indentify and call out because this hypocrisy is as old as the human race. This is not the first time (neither the last) that a group of self rightius asholess would defend a morally bankrupt person even when they should know better. It has less to do with what discipline you choose to pursue and more with why kind of person you are.
That black and white kind of thinking is the same one that people like them use to leech in society.
No every single studying something related with humanities or art is a cocksucker like them (hell, one of the most vocal SJWs in NeoGaf is an engineer).

Okay. I want to apologise here for mouthing off. I made some very broad generalisations about both fields, and the thing with making those sorts of generalisations is that they're usually, um, wrong. I will say that in terms of my experience, the majority of the wankers loudly refusing to learn what they didn't already know have been in the humanities. I have met, however, some pretty spectacular cases of wankitis in the sciences as well, and in a couple of cases they were genuinely dangerous in practical applications.My overall personal experience, however, has been that the worst cases of group think do tend to occur amongst people in the humanities. This is not to say that group think doesn't occur in the sciences as well, because it does. Frequently.
