I'll be blunt - as a lover of sandwhiches (and sometimes salads), what are some of your favorites of these two awesome fillers of the bod and soul???

My example would definitely be the Italian Hoagie and the Chef's salad, to name one of each type that's my personal favorite(s).

Ham and cheese and mayo, bitch

Anything in a sandwich is good.

As for salads, when i make my own i like putting onions and almonds to it, it enriches the flavor.

My city is filled with bánh mì sandwich joints that frequently cater work lunches and they alternate between being my favorite thing and most disappointing thing depending on the filling. Pulled barbecued meats and sliced pork belly are the best. Sometimes I get surprise headcheese and it is the worst surprise.

Pork roll, egg and cheese.

Dark Rye bread, fresh corned beef, swiss cheese, then throw that shit into a panini press until the bread is crispy. Cut in half to add more flavor.

Pastrami Reuben on rye, so overloaded and sloppy it's impossible to pick up by hand.

I love italian subs. Another sandwich I like which I dont have alot because it would be too fattening, is corned beef on toasted bread with melted pepper jack cheese.

As far as favorite sandwiches go, I enjoy a meatball sub. Granted, the only ones I had are from Subway but I'd like to find one from another sandwich maker than them. I also enjoy a simple home-made sandwich consisting of ham, mayo, cheese, and mustard. Also developed a liking towards pastrami sandwiches after having one from a college I go to.

A good classic reuben with corned beef on rye is a favorite of mine. That or pulled pork on just about anything.

I'm really not one to be too picky about sandwiches though. Ham, turkey, roast beef, pastrami, tuna. It's all good. A little swiss cheese and mayo, maybe some dijon mustard on wheat and I'm good.

There's a place that specializes in banh mi sandwiches not too far away that has some interesting ones. I've only been in there once because I felt immediately out of place as the only white person surrounded by Vietnamese-speaking Vietnamese. I suppose it's a sign that the place is good though if actual Vietnamese eat there regularly.

White sub roll. Mayo. Thin sliced steak. Mozzeralla. Bell and banana peppers. Sliced red onions. Salt and Pepper. Toasted.

A local sandwich shop has something they call the sleeper. Turkey, havarti cheese, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo on multi grain bread. Its pretty good.

My mum used to make me a mean sandwich on occasion. It had butter, lettuce, bacon, tomato, mayonnaise, cheese, crisps and some other things on it. And a stick in the middle to prevent it from falling apart.

You'd think it'd be a clusterfuck but it was really good.

I always used to eat microwaved cream cheese and pepperoni sandwiches when i was a lad. Everyone Ive mentioned to thinks that's pretty weird.

It's national sandwich day at Subway... buy a sub plus drink/chips... they give you a free sub to eat later.. plus the Italian BMT is the sub of the day today, which means you can get it for $3.50.
