Samurai Jack S05E08/"Jashi" Salt - Heterosexual romance in cartoons = homophobia; also, ~20-year-olds are now underage, apparently

A romance in cartoon (that may as well of been forced in the eyes of some) manages to somehow piss off a bunch of people on Tumblr and Twitter. Truly a cartoon from the early 2000's must be serious business, just like video games.

Those complaining of Jack's age should realize that despite technically being in his 70's, they flat out mention that he hasn't even aged a day. And the fact some on Tumblr try to pass Jack's sexual orientation as something other than hetero is just laughable as well.

I found an Imgur Image Dump of this on /co/

Enjoy
Truly a good salt mine to give us the salt from the sides of both Tumblr and /CO/.

If you have been keeping up with the show so far and didn't see this coming, then you are just really fucking retarded. Although I don't like the change since it makes samurai jack seem weirder, I am actually more surprised it didn't happen in the earlier seasons with some other female character.

"he's 70" nigga hasn't physically aged tho, and he's just been running around destroying robots for 50 years so besides going a little insane and suicidal he hasn't mentally grown TOO much.

The next episode plot suggests that Aku has found a severe weakness against Ashi, so it could be possible lol. Either he ends up tempting the darkness within her and Jack must be forced to kill her or Aku just straight up kills her. The salt will be immense: both shippers and Tumblrinas will be piiiiised.

LET THE SALT OVERFLOW

Did all these tumblrtards who insist that Jack is strictly gay/asexual even watch that episode where he hung out with the sexy green chick the entire time and was totally digging on her? Yeah, it turned out to be disguised aku in the end (which itself is honestly the most sexually confusing thing the series has ever done) but still, you can't claim that Jack has never at least had some eye for the ladies.

Yes, a shy man who has spent the last 50 years of his life in eternal warfare punctuated by lenghty periods of solitude would totally not jump at the first female (let alone an attractive one) in his way. And a young woman who has had little to no contact with the opposite sex would never fall for a super virile man who just so happens to be the great hero in the known universe. That's not realistic at all.

TBF the whole "Jack is 70" does have some merit. Like, when weeaboos say fapping to their loli waifu is okay because canon-wise she's actually a 1000 year old witch/dragon/goddess or some bullshit, even if she looks like a schoolgirl; that's bullshit.

I always thought that Ikra is what Aku would look like if he were female. Just needs a slightly uglier hag-like face and then she'll be perfect for what I'm getting at. :offtopic:, I know, but I like to think I put a lot more thought into these 2 cents here than anything those on Tumblr complaining about not enough LGBTQBS being in this show (which it doesn't need, BTW!), right now!

Yeah but he's a full grown-ass adult. So is Ashi (she's at least 18, though I personally figure she's in her early 20s too, like 20, 21 maybe). If Ashi WAS being depicted as some kind of loli it would be a bit sketchier but that's literally not the issue here. Plus, he's a 75-year old man stuck in a 25-year old body. I mean are we suddenly going to tell every May-December Hollywood couple to break up too even though everyone there is well of age/adults?

Anyway, TL;DR, this thread:

Expecting Genndy or McCracken to not put in hetero romance/hot young women is beyond delusional.
Cartoonists are losers that project their fantasies in their cartoons. All good 90s-2000s cartoons are made by horny men, whos biggest fantasy is to fuck hot women. Can't blame them!

But why Samurai Jack? Surely 100 million other shows were on last night that featured heterosexual romance too.

Oh wait, children's cartoon and Tumblr SJWs... Never mind.

Ok... so aside from seeing part of one episode a couple of weeks ago I have no context for this salt-out. Is there another medium (comics, previous show incarnation, etc) where the titular character or the girl were actually gay or is this just exceptional individuals upset that the show didn't go the way they wanted it to go?

(Also... now that I heard of Tara Strong via CWC I can't seem to avoid hearing about her everywhere)

On Tumblr, everyone is gay, asexual, trans, or some combination of the three. No exceptions, even when they're blatantly shown not to be any of those. Because that's just homophobia/transphobia. Also gay/trans/asexual/made up pronoun kids literally can't identify with any character ever, unless they happen to also be gay/trans/asexual/have a made up pronoun.

Even Tara Strong, who keeps reeeeeeing about Trump and "muh sechsuahlity" and follows the typical Hollywood liberal mindset, is loving this whole Jashi pairing. I am really surprised nobody has called her out on it yet, at least from Twitter.
