Everything I see from communists is discrediting the Socialist part of national socialism as being "incoherent", because they don't want the nazi name to be tied with socialism at all for optics reasons. I've seen quite a few communists/socialists do that. They very much don't like acknowledging that they did want a form of socialism. And while the "communists" were the enemies of the national socialists in germany at the time. They were definitely still advocating for socialism. At least what to me amounts to socialism.

This part is still black propaganda by the usual suspects -- Germany had an economic miracle after the extreme punitive measures of the Balfour Declaration. It only seems utopian because certain interests were intent on declaring war on Germany, and did so.

A lot of the time socialist governments seem to do great in the beginning, until they don't. I'm well aware of what happened economically before the war. The part I say is utopian is having any long running socialist government that continues with economic success. Well that's not the only thing I think was utopian about it, but that is my main point. Fascism as an ideology directly evolved from socialism. Italian thinkers being inspired by a French socialist/syndicalist named George Sorel created a system in which the Marxist lens of oppressed and oppressor was applied to nations. Essentially after WW1 Italy was denied its historical lands that were still ethnically Italian, making it a proletarian nation with America as the bourgeois nation. Thus, they needed socialism at a national scale for national interests.

The other prominent case that being Nazi Germany can be viewed in the same way. They after losing WW1 were colonized by France and Britain. Thus as the proletarian nation they needed to throw of the shackles of their oppressor and reclaim historical German lands, just like Italy.
