as someone whos in the game industry, i seriously doubt what sam is making will be any good
to me personally it smells like yet another grift given that its something that was apparently in the making/planning for 5+ years (i remember vids of him talking about it from way back in 2018)

if he has some good ideas for a game, he wouldnt start with one that:
1. requires a budget of a million or more (which implies that a game of this scale requires a decent amount of game dev experience in the first place, which he does not have)
2. requires him to "work" on it for a decade

if you know what youre doing you dont need to start with a "magnum opus" as your video game, especially if you have no outside publisher/funding and game dev experience. the last one is important, because if youve played games all your life, its good for knowing what you want in a game, but it does not equate to game design experience 1:1. making a massive game as your first one is a terrible fucking idea

given his audience he'd be better off making a small game first, raking in the cash (given his audience + if the game turned out good it'd be a no-brainer) and only move on to making a big budget game when he has enough capital (which he evidently does not yet)

I may be wrong, but I think the game was always called Joyride Universe and the company name is "Com98", and for the fans coming up with stuff, Sam has always been like this, since the alienmode (which I really wish there were more archived stuff) days when MDE was pretty much sketches with yt poop stuff.

dont hold out hope for that, for a game to take a decade+ to make it either has to be insanely good (which it wont be) or the projects director must not know what the fuck hes doing (which is the case), and therefore will never live up to its expectations (and the longer it takes the more unrealistic the expectations get)
