Offended is the wrong word maybe, but I think Chet went in with a similar mentality as Sam often does with being paranoid about being trolled, so he tried to out-troll the troll, which I guess he succeeded in

I don't think Eric making a face or looking shook for a second or whatever compares to no-selling every bit, destroying the set and physically assaulting the host. Eric did not crash out on the show, it was after. Whatever seethe Eric had, he kept it buried until he made that instagram video, where yes he was absolutely kvetching. But still, Chet thinking that's okay to just spontaneously ride a dirt bike around meant for a trained stuntman doing a scripted act while on a tv show, which would absolutely fuck everyone involved if he or anyone else was to get hurt or killed, is insanely delusional.

I don't know, I find sam pretty funny and have watched a good amount of his content, but I feel like he was being Baby Sammy Serious the whole time and now that I think about he's never shown the least bit of whimsical wonder at gods creation so I kind of assume he's a fag now.

I have considered this perspective, but I don't think it's true. If Sam was thinking with his pre-frontal cortex, he wouldn't have behaved like this, there were many other pivots he could have made to try to regain the upper hand. but instead of playing the game, he said: "oh, you wanna try to fuck with me? oh yeah? callin' me a gorilla huh? oh yeah? I'll show you a gorilla!"


That's not the mentality of a man who is in control of the situation. He might have "known" he was being baited, but he didn't play along, he threw a fucking lead-brained boomer level of a fucking fit. This is a dark day for Sam Hyde. He just might be getting a bit over the hill in terms of his persona. Just my 2 cents.

It's important to remember that Sam Hyde and everyone around him are satirists, and are trained to not break character. This is, to me, a very obvious expression of frustration, even if it comes off like a bit. You wrap your actual frustrations in irony, that's just kinda how it goes for these people.
