Mutahar just covered the Itch.io game removal and for once he had a decent take. He puts the blame squarely on the payment processors and even mentions the Fair Access to Banking act towards the end (around 15:45)

I'm not so sure. I think the better move would be to laser focus on the payment processors themselves and keep Shout around, The more popular stuff the harpies take down the more energy we'll have to go against the payment processors. Let them take out the likes of Binding of Isaac and create a swell of rabble that can be guided in the direction of Visa Mastercard. The more pressure the better.

They're way too big and too pervasive to be treated as such.
The only thing you can do here is to stop governments from using them to censor stuff, especially when internationally.
Also someone told me that they're actually listening to the UK and the UK is going to pass the Online Safety Act this Friday. It could imply that at least the Australian Government was actually contacting the UK and not the EU as I previously assumed.

In the latest move, Itch.io "deindexed" all adult/NSFW games, which has caught the attention of the gaming press, Bluesky, etc. since it hides "award-winning" LGBTQIAPZ2+ games like "Consume Me". A portion of games will be deleted permanently as they review them but many of them will be reindexed eventually. I think some have already been deleted but I don't know what they are.
With Steam, it was just the straight deletion of a wave of incest/futanari/rape slop games, maybe followed by smaller waves (haven't checked SteamDB).
