Yes. While he was inspired by a character invented for a version of Beauty and the Beast in the 40's Gaston himself was created for the Disney movie.

So quick question: if RT actually goes tits up, what happens to the shows that're currently being made at the Tits-upping time?

Well...

- RvB will likely be cancelled completely, since they own next to nothing about that series unless Warner can somehow broker a deal with Microsoft again like they did with Ready Player One.
- If Miles and Kerry can keep RWBY going, they probably could bring some of its staff and cast back somehow, but I'd also assume they'd be doing more outsourcing for the animation.
- Gen;Lock and the 2D shows would probably get fucked two ways from Tuesday unless they can get another animation studio to help them out (and Warner has at least three other companies they own that could help out- CN Studios, Wang Film Productions and their own in-house studio).
- Transformers would probably just be Hasbro's baby entirely, since they've already got the deal with Netflix to air it and Polygon Pictures to animate it.

The Live action shit would more than likely just stop too.

The only entertainment anyone should get from RWBY is laughing at the terrible everything, like the inability to animate people walking...because they keep standing in the same place despite the walk cycle. Which is in one of the openings.

What bothers me is how they use motion capture, yet can't clean it up worth a damn to make it not look sluggish. And every time they don't use it it looks choppy or just as sluggish and poorly timed, like in the action scenes.

I'd only be upset if Camp Camp got canned over this BS going on at RT, honestly. And Maybe Gen:LOCK. I actually like those shows, but even then, you reap what you sow when you fuck up, right?

I think something that also gets very little credit is the music, it's sincerely very good and one of the best parts of the show. At least it was in the early seasons. The same goes for Monty's choreography and character design.

That being said, I concur with everyone the writing is really bad, I couldn't care less about the relics or the maidens. I'm always amazed at how often RWBY is more popular with people thinking about how it could be fixed than the plot being interesting on its own.

I wouldn't be surprised if 1/4 of the fanfics out there were just people trying to fix that mess.

Yeah, a lot of the people say the music is the best part. And that the people behind the music are having their talents wasted. Also, some of those making fanfics are actually rewriting the show.

I suspected something like this existed. I mean RWBY's wasted potential is just too tempting for any competent writer to fix it. He seems to claim it isn't a fix, but let's not kid ourselves here, if the writing was good he wouldn't be doing this or getting attention for this.

Yeah, that one it's pretty bad.

As for the others, I know I'm on the minority here, but not a fan of Blake's and Weiss redesigns either, the later looks, as someone said, like a bootleg version of Artoria from Fate. Specifically, I'm not a fan of the braided ponytail versus the flowy hair, But we'll see. Hopefully, they will grow on me.

Pretty much, RWBY turned to shit when Miles and Kerry decided things needed to be "super siri".

IMO Miles also shot himself in the foot when he said there's no prejudice in Remnant. *save for Human vs Faunus *
