I ain't watching this shit.
How is Wonder Woman's life unlucky. She literally grew up on Themyscira an idyllic island, that used to be called Paradise Island because it was just so fucking great. She's also one of if not the most powerful women on Earth, incredibly beautiful, and has a full supporting cast worth of family, love interests, and friends including the Justice League, some of the most noble and kind people in the DC universe. What more could the universe possibly owe her?
Diana talks about being raised 'as a warrior by other warriors', trained to always be on the lookout for threats, and how none of her team mates can understand what that's like, she relates more to Huntsman. To which Blake explains that this is because the rest of the League are 'lucky', they had childhoods, they don't have to fear that any moment they could be facing death all their lives and don't have to constantly fight just to survive another day.
Note: Blake knows all of jack shit about the league members other than their names and powers.
Also, if I didn't know the RWBY writers were the ones in charge of this, I would have thought this movie hated the RWBY side of the cross-over, because god damn is every one of the character's worse traits amplified. The Justice League characters come off as well meaning and understanding despite the shitty situation, Clark trying his best to keep everyone's spirits up, come up with sound ideas and assure Ruby that he struggles with the same leadership issues as she does, Vixen steps in to keep everyone focused and back everyone up, Bruce is being surprisingly easy-going and patient with Weiss, Jessica is trying her best but is stricken with fear and anxiety over not having her powers and Cyborge, outside of blowing up at Ruby for a second out of stress, is eager to help in any way he can and asking Ren adn Nora for ideas since his tech doesn't really work here.
And the RWBY characters? Stuck up twats who treat every friendly suggestion that isn't from Diana (because she's just like them apparently) as a challenge. Fucking Ren, the calm and disciplined monk character, is getting all "You lookin' at muh girl!?" over Cyborg interacting in any way with Nora. Nora gets pissy at Cyborg for saving her life because she can 'take care of herself', and he apologizes. There's even a part where, after Ruby has consistently dropped the ball and been unable to give orders or plans in the middle of battle while Superman has had no trouble doing so, Clark starts to tell Nora his new plan... So, of course, Nora and Ruby, in the middle of a battle with a giant grimm monster, decide to get on Clark's case for bossing them around and treating them like children. This is RUBY's team, thank you very much, Nora doesn't take orders from him. AND HE ADMITS THAT THEY'RE RIGHT.
The only decent character interactions so far has been Jaune and Jessica as they bond over feeling like useless and traumatized members of the team who aren't special without better people to hold them up. Jaune comforting her over her anxiety issues and feeling she's worthless without the green lantern ring while she explains how it feels for her when she uses her power, it's actually decent and emotional stuff.
