I completely forgot that character existed and barely remember anything about them until this thread came into existence.

Well, when that's all Kdin has that's all Kdin can talk about. What else has he even done? Worked as a bench warmer in Let's Plays and when he did appear in a video he was the personality equivalent of wallpaper paste, was an editor for awhile and we all know that editing for AH and RT is probably the most low effort job in the company, and then got a job as a voice actor for a character in the company's flagship series. Sure it was a (very) minor part as a third string character in a dying company's increasingly irrelevant and shoddy internet web series but that's the highwater mark for his career.

Plus, he's a tranny, and like all trannies he goes absolutely bananas for anything even remotely related to "trans representation". I promise you that if you picked his brain a bit that May would be his idealized version of himself.

Well I had my money on RT not making it past 2023, but wouldn't be surprised if they ended in 2022 a while back.

Can they make it another 2 1/2 months or is this the prelude to the end? Whatever outcome, RT deserves to finally be put to rest.

K(KK)din shared his experiences working with Rooster Teeth after quitting the company and besides being mocked for trying to be a woman's equivalent of a blackface by the same company that shills itself as "progressive & inclusive" and getting called "Fugz" (stealing that, thanks Rooster Teeth), he also had some surprisingly legitimate grievances like not being fucking paid (lel), not getting a promised bonus, unpaid overtime (2x lel), being framed for a fuckup when he was on medical leave (3xlel).

As of now, Kdin's dumpsterfire of a post got a responses (read:excuses) from Micheal Jones (VA of Sun Wukong, character who dodged a bullet by not entering in a relationship with Blake) who forgot that he's 35 years old and that he should act professional when working in a media company.

Man, almost like going from apolitical edgy humor to leftie pandering wasn't exactly a good idea after all, eh?

Got another one from Gavin Free (VA of Scarlet David, yet another unimportant and forgettable RWBY side char) who clearly doesn't give a shit and writes this because his arse got lit on fire.

Rooster Teeth really is a gift that keeps on giving.

The "Death of RT" news cycle never comes with them seemingly shuttering whole departments, losing popular behind the scenes figures and massive "get woke, go broke" controversies all at the same time when viewership is nearing all time lows across the board.

They have had all three, but just not at the same time which could be the knock out blow to an already thoroughly beaten RT.

Why do all these tech industry cucks always complain about how they went unpaid, oftentimes for months at a stretch? What is it about tech and media jobs that makes people so slavish that they must devote themselves to The Company and then get bitter about it years later? Why do these people never just refuse to come in when the check bounces or hours aren't accounted for?

I can't speak for all tech companies where this happens, but with Roosterteeth it's a lot of young people joining a company that makes some of their favorite content. They see it as a dream job, so they let a lot of shit just slide.

Also, if RWBY is any indication, you’re treated like a rock star for whatever part you have on it (though the VAs get the most praise), and people will tolerate a lot as long as the high(ish) times keep rolling.

The promise of promotions, raises and actual real power within the company that the people who made the promise either never intended to honor or didn't have the authority to make in the first place.

Not to power level too hard, but I worked in that sort of space (keeping it vague for a reason) for a few years and saw the grift at work. So I went out of my way to LOOK busy, while actually not really doing that much in order to keep the job long enough until I could find something better (basically quiet quitting).

I quickly found a much more cushy job with guaranteed Overtime, promotions, job security, etc. but that is a story for another day. To sum up the point, anyone who is smart gets the fuck out of the corporate wasteland and does something far better or starts their own business. The only people who remain are the people who still buy the bullshit they were sold in the interview.
