And your evidence for this is solitary trailers with 12k views or less?
Just going to play devil's advocate for a second, but the Japanese really don't care too much for YouTube. That said, they are pulling low views on NicoNico too (the scattered RWBY content that is there that is, the trailers aren't).

You'd be surprised by just how much the cultists of this dump will twist their smooth brains at how "wildly popular" RWBY is in Japan, hence, why it was dubbed in the first place.

I remember this troll who may or may not have been a fan frequenting Hero Hei and Clownfish, but by God, the lengths and comments he'd jump through to promote RWBY was just mind numbing. Compare that with the subreddit and "RT doesn't have financial problems, you hater. Stay mad!"

Reminds me of the guy on Gamefaqs who argued the dead and cancelled RWBY mobile game created more revenue than Fire Emblem Heroes, or the other one who swore RWBY was not only the sole reason for BBTag to be made but the biggest franchise in it, meant to make the others popular. RWBY's one hell of a drug.

Imagine thinking Semblances in general are great powers in general. I find very few concepts of using emotion as a source for power to be really engaging, and just lean towards autistic territory.
The lack of real rules or limits seem to really make me not want to think of the "deeper" ramifications. and whatnot.

It's especially bad when you compare it to shounen jump big three One Piece or MHA where the rules of the powers are explicitly laid out with any outliers (like one for all) being acknowledged as such. Rwby meanwhile can't even keep track of what powers are what.

I mean there's Fixing RWBY, which has been mentioned, but as it turns out that's produced by a dude who tried to sell his Madoka real world AU fanfic about 14-year-olds fucking as a "realistic coming-of-age" novel on Amazon.
Celtic Phoenix is a retarded sped who's probably stumbled into success with Fixing RWBY on accident rather than through any actual talent or skill, but that doesn't change the fact that Fixing RWBY is probably the best work of it's kind which doesn't just completely rewrite the entire setting of the original RWBY. Another thing to keep in mind with that series though is that he really isn't doing anything all that interesting or groundbreaking with it, he's basically taking a pretty generic story and adding a bit of polish to it and his version still kicks the shit out of anything Miles, Kerry, and Monty could produce.

Oh for sure. Since Celtic has gotten some help with writing it's gotten way better, too. It's about the best we'll get for now.

And since each installment is over an hour long, they can make for great background noise.
