Rupert Lowe, Restore Britain, The Rape Gang Enquiry - 'Then millions must go'. 'I don't care'.
These guys effectively ran as Restore candidates before Restore officially begins nationwide campaigning.
In the elections themselves Independents performed worse than they did last time so people are sequestering to parties now rather than the apathy/protest votes against the Tories.
It'll be interesting to see the turnout for this because people seemed to care more about this election than I thought. Though my grandma thought it was the general election and had to softly be corrected.
I only have anecdotes unfortunately but younger-olds (50-70 range) I interacted with knew Lowe's name but didn't have a complete picture, they were just aware of him. And I doubt many who were paying attention online were aware of these candidates and at the ballot box they'd just appear as an independent. People were voting purely along party lines to stick it to Starmer/Labour so I wouldn't put stock in their losses meaning anything.
Someone is also going around claiming 'Zoomer Historian' and a few other social media accounts who post Restore content are 'banned', but they have all come out and said this isn't true- they just don't attend the events because they think it's a bad look for the party. I think she's just a trouble maker tbh and the event organiser told her to knock it off until Restore has more roots down.
I am highly suspicious of any social media/commentator...
Sounds like people believe that British people have a right to a British society filled with and controlled by British people. Shocking.
Nothing wrong with not wanting foreigners who openly despise you in your community. No, you don't deserve to leach off a society because of colonialism 120 years ago, Ranjesh.

It's right around the time they need to start running the actual nasty ops against Restore to prevent them from disrupting the containment party from storming in, so, yeah, I fully expect them to find useful golems like Ann Coulter and the Catboy Faggot only British flavored to show up and generate soundbytes, talking points, and dissent.
Yeah this was inevitable, surprised it happened so FAST, though now that Restore are actually ontologically real and can't just be denied the system will simply have no choice but to fling shit at the wall in perpetuity, so this is gonna happen a LOT. Expect the sargoy/count troonkula types to start loudly bleating their allegiances soon as well, and if Tommy Robinson and co make a real go of trying to associate that's when you KNOW what's up.

Sargon and co nailed their colours to Lowe's mast almost as soon as he was booted out of reform, and are tommeh has been supporting restore for months without incident. The fact is, it doesn't matter. Restore has the real-world grass roots support to ignore the online right.
So any guesses if the Labour goverment will break apart soon? This election seems to have been quiet a shock to the big two (though liberals and greens also won votes) Will we soon get multi coloured goverments to stop "the evil fascist, nazi far right?'"

The guy who made this claim is part of the National Rebirth Party, pictured below. Their leader Alek Yerburgh has an established hate boner for Restore (front row, second from right).

Commentary related the speaker cancellation from Zoomer Historian, Steve Laws and Richard Shaw, the Advance UK founder who defected a while back.
Lowe's teasing running a candidate in the Makerfield by-election in July, which was already going to be a significant sideshow/shitshow (a brief explainer follows).
This election is occurring because PM Kier Starmer is facing an attempted putsch by the Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham. Burnham wants to mount a leadership challenge but first needs to be elected as an MP. He has somehow enticed the Makerfield MP Josh Simons to step down allowing him to stand. Josh Simons won his seat in the heady days of 2024 by 5K votes (45.2%) over the Reform candidate (31.8%), so Burnham's by no means assured to win. Random Reform supporters made enough noise about the idea of Maggie Oliver running that she addressed it on X.
This is despite a lot of optimism in certain sections of the left, who point to his alleged popularity, profile and approximate home turf advantage (he's styled as King of the North). Detractors point to his previous failed leadership bids and presiding for the last decade over some of the worst rape gang activity areas (Rochdale and Oldham), among other things.

So Reform are potentially pretty hot (as long as they don't parachute Zia Yusuf in or something) against a Starmer-level twat with grand designs. The idea of Restore contesting this election is slightly controversial among their own followers, some of whom think stopping Burnham is more important, while others say it's too early to field a candidate for Parliament.
I suppose it depends where you draw the line for success. I'm no political strategist but I'd think think placing third would be worthwhile in this particular election, since it'll receive heavy press coverage due to Burnham and the Labour civil war. In 2024 the Tories in third place got 10.9%, which doesn't seem unreasonable to suggest Restore could do with a decent candidate, an enthusiastic ground game, and Uncle Rupert making an appearance.
All that said, Lowe's posts aren't a firm commitment so we'll see.
(((Dan Hodges))) of the Mail on Sunday has been sperging about it.
In other news, an interesting one for the Restore vetting team. Lord Miles applied to stand as a Restore Britain candidate. It's technically not a lolcow crossover since his thread is in happenings, but it on a bare skim it is absolutely a lolcow thread in spirit - thread.
Tangentially relevant: Nigel Farage said that noted Restore supporter Elon Musk tried to buy his speech and he refused. Musk noticed. Context Farage is currently getting press attention for a £5m crypto gift/donation he failed to declare. When pressed he first said it was for private security, then said it was for 'doing a good job of Brexit'.

Wrapping up a few days ago for the record - in the case of the canceled speaker, Charlie Downes spoke to her and she seems to have accepted the apology.
That'll be sheer insanity.
The biggest threat facing Restore right now is looking unviable.
Their 10/10 big margin wins in G. Yarmouth look impressive, but they were all in, going up against a just a ‰ of Reform+Labour's resources.
Makersfield has both big parties pouring everything they have into the constituency. Reform UK want to show Labour it is hopeless, even with their most popular of candidates. Labour want to prove Reform can be beaten.
If Burnham wins, then the Labour will be united and a credible threat in 2029. A few more years of Starmer being the figurehead is nothing in comparison.
Running in Makerfield is probably too big a gamble. But talking about running in Makerfield is smart, because people talking about whether they run or not is talking about Restore, it consistently frames whether they should run or not in terms of 'is too soon?' rather than are they good, and implicitly sneaks in the premise that they are; and finally, it just keeps on that little bit of pressure on the others to have actual nationalist policies. The existence of Reform has pressured even Labour to do some token anti-migration stuff, whilst the Tories are now closer to Restore than they are to Reform. And Restore keeps Reform having to be more Nationalist than Farage would actually like them to be.
I'm mixed on whether they should run or not. It would get them attention at least. But talking about it gets them attention too. Restore are very solid and running a tight ship. What they need is for more people to notice.
Not really that point, but I've watched that video of Andy Burnham jogging several times now trying to work out what's happening with his arms? Why are they held so stiffly at two different odd angles? Was he having a heart attack? An oddly self-conscious reaction to the cameras? Has he never run before?
This is a big mistake.
Restore will be seen as unviable spoilers.
Unless Rupert knows RefUK will parachute in someone detestable, it is a bad idea.
+7h Edit: Maybe they want RefUK to see this seat as too risky. Rupert has always said he wants real people with this ties to the local area not professional politicians. He'd definitely prefer Mancunian Burnham over rootless Zia Yusef.
If the local party have the numbers and energy to get out and knock on doors, I think they can make a decent showing. I suspect most reform voters are more sick of the status quo than particularly enamored by the guile and wit of Nigel.
But I don't think they will win it, so they need to moderate their messaging a bit.
Gonna make an early prediction of doom, based on a couple current trends in the rhetoric of the Restore-supporting portion of "the online right." They're all suddenly speaking so similarly it's like they've been given talking points. (I doubt that's the case. They've just caught the "vibe.")
If Restore gains power and, as all Western "far right" parties do, betrays the native population, they'll do it by renouncing remigration / mass deportation as a vulgar American idea that Britain's less numerically ugly demography doesn't justify.
More broadly, they'll reject all non-Thatcherite (crypto-Blairite) "far right" positions as populist Yankification.
I doubt they'll ever win enough to do anything, but that's what they're setting up for. They're making rhetorical anti-Americanism—actually anti-doing any Trump-lookin' stuff—central to their image.
Policy -
Restore put out a new paper today on energy. I haven't read it but it's pretty clear nuclear's a focus. The cover is suspiciously similar to an SDP paper on a the same subject and there's some minor drama. I don't think anyone's saying the content is copied but there's some extra awkwardness because they collaborated when Restore was a pressure group. It's a shame if they're not on good terms because I liked the association, the SDP seems to have policy wonks at a level Restore could do with learning from.
The energy paper's attached, as well as an older on that wasn't posted before - abolishing inheritance tax.
An SDP member did a breakdown comparison
Makerfield election - in an earlier post I misstated the date of the election - it's June 18.
Restore were the first party to announce their candidate on Monday - Rebecca Shepherd, who runs stables.
Detractors found she provided SEND services to Wigan council, and are calling her a benefits grifter. Supporters are saying pony rides for disabled kids are a good thing if your definition of disabled isn't insane. The amounts I've seen cited are 6.9K in 2024 and 8.6K in 2025. I'm quite forgiving of small businesses over the last few years and it doesn't bother me either way but it's not the ideal first impression.
Tuesday:
Reform are standing Robert Kenyon who did well for them in 2024 and is a strong candidate, a born and bred local plumber, ex military. The campaign launch video is very nice if if a bit superficial - a nice candidate bio and a decent attack on Burnham but no issues). Apparently he deleted his social media recently, so unfortunately we'll never know if he posts gems like melting down Nigerians to fill potholes (RIP Glenn Gibbins). The Metro found some posts and a friend who was in the BNP and some posts. Mostly nothing stuff, the possible exception being the one about waterboarding people for breaking lockdown rules, that seems like it might be unpopular now. Detractors say his military service is overblown (Reserves), a lot of Restore supporters like him and would be happy to see him defect.

Andy Burnham is confirmed for Labour. He's a big name big money candidate: his campaign poster is by someone famousy, he has the rights to Oasis' Some Might Say and a tame regional newspaper in his pocket. To me he has the slight air of a Starmerbot (Lord Alli donated 10K to his 2015 failed leadership bid) but apparently he's very popular.

Announced today: the conservatives are standing Michael Winstanley, former mayor of Wigan. The Greens haven't announced yetThe greens are running Chris Kennedy, a nurse and child safeguarding lead with resting nonce face. EDIT: Holy shit, He dropped out already.
Oddschecker - (note: only Labour, Reform and Restore have announced candidates).
For Restore a decent Reform candidate is the worst case scenario but probably expected. They're going to do an enthusiastic ground game, try to turn out new voters, maybe focus on issues more than Reform, gain some experience and exposure and try to overperfom. The BBC acknowledged the party's existence as a result of the candidate announcement which is a tiny milestone in itself. I wasn't expecting them to stand anyone and the candidate isn't my bag but can't fault them for just doing things. I thereore online
Today Duncan Bannatyne withdrew his support from Andy Burnham over trannies, and is supporting the Restore/Rebecca Shepherd ticket.
Briefly on the topic of spoiler parties, it's worth pointing out the left has one too in the Greens and the parties are actually quite balanced - major party (Reform/Labour), useless legacy minor party (Cons/Lib Dems), potential threat spoiler party (Restore/Green). The Tories and Greens have also had calls from inside to stand down (Jacob Rees-Mogg and Caroline Lucas respectively).
I think despite starting out strongest Burnham might be unpredictable over time due to his own progressive nonsense like above, but also because this being his path to PM, Kier Starmer and Wes Streeting are trying to orchestrate his downfall and in addition to any direct damage they do there's potential for voters feeling like they're pawns in a pissing match between Labour toolmakers' sons. Alternatively it's possible voters hate Starmer enough to take it the other way, but all very unpredictable. All I'm saying is there are plenty of opportunities for Reform to take it home and Restore to do well by their own standards. Just getting Burnham to talk about trannies whenever possible would be good value.
EDIT: The Green candidate confirmed then dropped within 24 hours, and the Restore/SDP energy papers comparison.
