You are likely right, cgi toons can save money byreusing the environments, while with 2d animation unless you were doing some Hanna-Barbera style animation that just wouldn't work. But in terms of cheap cgi animation you have seen nothing yet, Unreal Engine is already starting to get used in effects and animation in tv shows, once Unreal 5 is out, I expect way more studios to pick it up to cut costs in tv animation.

Not mention, the lighting in the house is waaaay too dark. They need to brighten it up somehow. That's one of the most jarring things about the show.

The adults seem to have odd new personalities like Stu being obsessed with playing video games and Didi having her own sewing room. I'm okay with the fact that they're trying to give the adults a new edge in those ways, but the whole thing with Stu and the video games just isn't working out for me. It's giving me the vibe that he's more of a manchild than he was in the original.

I figure these streaming services are full of trash because everything is subsidized by everyone paying a flat fee, and it’s all about quantity over quality. The more crap they can fart out, the more crap they can advertise having. It’s easy to justify ten bucks a month by saying “well this looks like crap, but look, they have over 500 shows available, surely one must be good”

She is Jewish or at least has Jewish blood. In the OG series there was a Hanukkah special and her father is Jewish.

On another note, good lord Kimi looks ugly.
