Someone on Twitter posted a consumer guide to RPG companies.

Green was companies that haven't engaged in anti consumer behavior and stay apolitical.

Yellow was some questionable behavior, took a political stance that may have alienated some customers, ect.

Red may have engaged in anti-consumer behavior, deceptive business practices, interfered with other creators, strong political stance, alienated large customer base. Actual racist or sexist entries.

They listed RPG dot net in red because of how popular the site is. The entry:

RPG.net (Forum) this is included only because of how commonly it pops up in searches. Doesn't take long to figure out how twisted these people are. Look at their forum rules for proof, or the moderator actions for bans. This is not what most rpg communities are like, don’t go to their website or click on their ads. It’s not worth giving them the traffic. If you must I strongly suggest using an archive website like waybackmachine or something.
 
The RPGnet people have the worst case of "forum mods taking themselves seriously" I've seen - a syndrome whose symptoms include acting like the work they do is so, so very important, that's always been a sign to quit a forum, for me, when the mods act like theirs is a higher duty to social justice and they're encouraged by various lickspittles who applaud whenever they bring down their iron boots on posters for the most minor of made-up "infractions". Your only damn "job" overseeing a forum should be to invisibly fix crashes, bugs, bot spam and so on. It shouldn't be about a being a bunch of tinpot control freaks pretending they're safeguarding people from harm by clamping down on even the most minor of "dissent".
 
Rpg.net has declared itself a safe haven for struggling artists everywhere by declaring:
1. A complete ban on AI generated art, music, and video.
2. Users are forbidden from discussing or supporting commercial AI projects or uses.

In typical rpg.net fashion they muddy the issue by permitting discussion of the tech itself and private uses of AI in a decision that I'm sure will not confuse users and lead to bans.

"Generative AI is a hot topic" so let's come up with confusing, autistic, retarded rules about how you're not allowed to talk about it, like the absolute faggot morons we are.

The more confusing the rules the easier it is to ban people claiming they've violated them then ban more people for asking how they did so.
 
There was absolutely no need for this policy. Yet they created the policy, and will haphazardly enforce the policy against people they don't like.

For a discussion forum, they sure don't like discussion.
