I remember when things were relatively sane and normal and if some douchebag like this showed up in a game and started killing fun for everyone, we'd just call them a retard and throw them the fuck out, then bully them in school from then on.

I recently noted in the Tabletop general thread that a lot of the Something Awful reviews on Fatal and Friends these days would get users banned from the forums. The same is true on RPG.net. Hell if FATAL itself was written from a more pro-current stuff background right now it would probably mean the review for it on RPG.net would be removed because "it's anti-Nazi and therefore good!"
There is nothing worth preserving beyond 2005 or so. It is just a festering heap of rot, one layer on top of the other.
Yeah but given the amount of frivolous banning there still has to be an influx of clueless idiots from somewhere, and aside from old members signing back up under new socks (and that has to have progressively worse returns given how disgusted they must get with getting banned to begin with) that's the only thing I can think of.
I usually just read the completed ones. From what the poster above said that gets some posts but it feels like a long while since new reviews appeared on the site that collects them without the surrounding posts. Might be that whoever or whatever fed them through to there has gone.
I suspect the new member influx comes with RPGs getting an uptick thanks to Critical Role. For better or for worse.
