Well I disagree. On a high-audience medium like Twitter, it's worth repeating the basics every now and then so people who just pass by don't get the impression you don't have an answer.

To expand on this slightly, it's about providing a concrete definition that's extremely difficult to rules-lawyer. A definition that the average person can easily an intuitively grasp, that's difficult to find exceptions for that enable TRAs to claim that they're using the correct interpretation of 'sex'. Which makes it pretty easy to defend, leaving more esoteric arguments against it that often serve to make the TRA making said argument to look foolish.

At the moment it's about as unproven as religion. Even if you wanted to prove it with brain imaging you would really need to track newborns through adulthood just due to brain plasticity. Trying to measure changes in someone who's been taking exogenous hormones for years and then pointing to the difference as a cause is retarded.

I am still waiting for the science that proves that when a man who identifies as female is transferred to a women's prison, he poses less of a physical threat than a man who identifies as a man just because of his gendered soul (if anything, they appear to be even more violent and rapey than men on average). I have also yet to see research that proves that if a tranny exposes himself to a 10-year-old girl in the women's locker room, it's not going to be as uncomfortable for her as it would've been if a male-identified man had showed up and started waving his dick around as long as the tranny truly "feels" that he is a woman. I also haven't encountered any studies that prove that straight sex becomes lesbian sex if the man in the relationship starts identifying as a woman.

I used to ask them that myself, never could get a satisfying answer. Usually something along the lines of 'there's no wrong way to be trans' or 'every trans journey is valid'.

This is really late but I recently got shared that Family Guy clip of the French Revolution and I didn't realize they made fun of JK until the part where they beheaded her. Once again, these people never actually criticize anything she stated but just resort to "Wouldn't it be funny if she was killed"?
I dont know what modern Family Guy's view of trans people are (although that JK Rowling getting beheaded joke was in an episode that just came out proves pro trans) but I remember a few years ago that despite Family Guy trying to paint Quagmire's TIM father as a normal person, TRAs still whine about the "Transphobia" in modern episodes. It reminds of South Park creators Trey and Matt whenever they try to appeal to the left by saying that climate change is real, but the left still hates them for the ManBearPig episode, and the Mr. Garrison trans and trans sports episodes.
