Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

I read Good Omens twice, and I am notorious for only reading half of anything, so that's something. Speaking of which, I watched half of one episode of American Gods, got distracted, and just never came back to it. I have no right to really comment on it, but nothing anyone says about it makes me want to revisit it.
Could not get through American Gods even though I enjoyed the weird freaky shit. I just didn't understand the plot. I read Stardust and liked it, but that was so long ago. Anyway, disappointed he's a shitty person but whatever.
Same-not reading good omens, but watching the first episode, not being interested enough to remeber to watch the second.
I had meant to get the book as it came out not long after I'd just happened to read all the old Sandman graphic novels.
Which really were really good.
But that's a loooong time ago those were published now. Mid 90s I think.

I had recently already done my bit being disappointed in him and finding his terf bashing suss, so the assault allegations are no skin off my nose now.
Suck it up poons n troons, why is it that all you and yours are rapists?
Just keeps happening. Just keeps being directly related to people who make sure that boundaries are kept nice and trampleable.

Yeah, I'm sure it was the most definite and not accidental consent incident, where an 18 year old nanny is within hours shagged in the bath by her brand new much older employer.
That certainly sounds like healthy dynamics, what are we, prudes?

Laura Kay Bailey is a nothing actor. Even her demo reel is shit acting.

link to her (skimpy) imdb page

the imdb page includes her demo reel, in case you want to point and laugh.

EDIT: And sorry to be _that person_ but is Laura Kay Bailey a real woman, or a true and honest "woman"? That jaw, and the lack of hips.
Oh christ. The second clip trying to do an English accent, it sounds like fucking Philosophy Tube trying to do his fake woman voice. So much energy being put into trying to maintain the crapccent that the whole rest of the performance is totally stiff and weird and a bit behind itself.

Posted in Tranny Sideshows by @Candidate No 7 , Willyboy did a heckin' trans genocide. Please, please let Rowling see this. It's such an open door.

And she still sounds American. Mid-atlantic at best. It's no less jarring than any given American who affects an oity toity faith an beggorah Oirish accent. Looking at you, Richard Gere.

Still giggling about Willyboy's idiocy the next day.

Anyway, loosely Rowling-related but this had been discussed much on this thread.

Wes Streeting the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, who has been called a child-killer by troons non-stop for a few days has just tweeted a thread to explain why he is sticking with the ban on puberty blockers outside of tests.

I am just going to collate the text instead of screenshots but the thread starts here: Puberty blockers: a thread

Puberty Blockers. A
🧵
Children’s healthcare must always be led by evidence. Medicine given to children must always be proven safe and effective first. I know there’s lots of fear and anxiety. Let me explain why this decision was taken. Cass Review found there is not enough evidence about the long-term impact of puberty blockers for gender incongruence to know whether they are safe or not, nor which children might benefit from them. The evidence should have been established before they were ever prescribed. 2/9 The NHS took the decision to stop the routine use of puberty blockers for gender incongruence/dysphoria in children. They are establishing a clinical trial with NIHR to ensure the effects of puberty blockers can be safely monitored and provide the evidence we need. 3/9 The former Health Secretary issued an emergency order to extend the restriction on prescription to the private sector, which I am defending. 4/9 Puberty blockers have been used to delay puberty in children and young people who start puberty much too early. Use in those cases has been extensively tested (a very different indication from use in gender dysphoria) and has met strict safety requirements. 5/9 This is because the puberty blockers are suppressing hormone levels that are abnormally high for the age of the child. This is different to stopping the normal surge of hormones that occur in puberty. This affects children’s psychological and brain development. 6/9 We don’t yet know the risks of stopping pubertal hormones at this critical life stage. That is the basis upon which I am making decisions. I am treading cautiously in this area because the safety of children must come first. 7/9 Some of the public statements being made are highly irresponsible and could put vulnerable young people at risk. I know there’s lots of fear and anxiety. I am determined to improve the quality of, and access to, care for trans people. 8/9 I hope this thread provides some context for the caution and care I am taking when it comes to this vulnerable group of young people. The decisions I am taking will always be based on evidence, rather than politics or political pressure. 9/9

A few things worth noting:

  • Wes Streeting is a gay man, and the whole "trans is the new gay" argument obviously leaves him cold
  • Like for Rowling, this is not his first rodeo. As a Corbyn refusenik he has faced a deranged mob for years
  • He was vaguely pro-trans for a long time but has had an epiphany and has apologised publicly to Rosie Duffield MP for her treatment
  • His language here is noteworthy. "gender incongruence/dysphoria", no mention of "trans children".
As you can imagine the reaction from our trans brothers and sisters as well as their interesting friends is thoughtful and measured.

Etc...

Anyway, there was quite a lot of speculation here and elsewhere about why Labour was so opaque about their intentions, and about which side they were trying to avoid antagonising until after the election. I think the die is cast now. I would be enormously surprised if a ban on "trans conversion therapy" i.e. therapy was forthcoming.

I thought it must be a couple of months ago but it's been a year already. Time flies.

Wes Streeting apologises to Rosie Duffield for treatment by Labour over gender views (The Guardian)

Streeting spoke about the reaction of many women in the Labour party, including MPs, to his comments in a BBC Radio 4 interview in which he had urged trans rights campaigners not to try to “shut down” the author JK Rowling. “I was inundated with women in the Labour party, including parliamentary colleagues, who I do not consider to be shrinking violets, who were basically saying: ‘I’m really glad you said this about having a better conversation, because I felt afraid about voicing my concerns’. And I thought, if some of the strongest women I know are feeling silenced, we’ve got a problem.”

One thing online troons do very competitively is the deliberate misunderstanding of their ENEMIES for persecution purposes. It's a time-honoured online debating technique for which you get bonus points if you pick on a very common phrase with a well-known meaning.

Here is the star of our recent UK general election Sophie Molly/Sparkles with a classic but very impressive move.

JK Rowling has just threatened to drown trans people and their allies. "Ship finally sinks".

Countdown to "she has literally drowned hundreds of trans people".

Unlike Rowling, Darren Styles lacks intellect, courage and integrity. What a spineless wanker.

These people are so thick thick thick.

The idea that the Heritage Foundation bribes the UK government is hilarious. As for JKR, as followers of this thread know she tweeted just before the election that she didn't trust Labour and might not even vote for them. Everyone knows this!

Helen Joyce is less wide of the mark. While troons raged on Twitter and shouted at people in the street, Sex Matters has been busy talking to politicians. But it's really the Cass Review that clinched it.

I find it so hilarious that these people are so unable to realise how much money jk have, she doesn't need to order doordash because she can employ a private cook or could buy a whole fucking restaurant on a whim if she felt like it.

It's also hilarious when these terminally online people think she's spending to much time on X.
It takes seconds to post or answer to the replies.
Believing that it would affect her relationships is beyond delusional coming from people who live in front of their computers and phones.

I bring this news with a heavy heart: yet another crime by the notorious J. K. Rowling has been uncovered.

GShVhqEWwAAdTiG.jpeg

Stephen Fry's telling of the events:

(I'll note that Mr. Fry states the tongue-twisting phrase appeared in the third book, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, rather than the first as alleged in the tweet.)

Rowling denies wrongdoing:

But can we trust her? Well, according to https://www.potter-search.com/, which lets you search the full text of the books, the exact phrase "Harry pocketed it" appears only in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (the fourth novel in the series), indicating that Mr. Fry's recollection may indeed be faulty:

Thus ends my investigation, but the full truth may never be known...

Comerford is batshit, a sort of mad witch-finding monk of the trans church.

Meanwhile I think a Wes Streeting Derangement Syndrome thread is going to be necessary soon!

1721059027409.png 1721059890152.png

UK troons/allies are all running around like headless chicken looking for a Labour MP to complain to. But the handful of eejits still on board are mostly Corbynista remnants on the backbench.

1721060047150.png 1721060596697.png

There is absolutely no way that this could backfire at all.

I am absolutely crying at this one:

I said yesterday that, if @wesstreeting
could not answer these questions he was not fit to be health secretary.
Now he has not only unfollowed Jo but unfollowed me (a qualified and published academic expert with peer-reviewed publications in this area) as well.

Genocide by unfollowing.

PS sorry for hijacking the thread, but this is very amusing and not sure where else to put it.

Does he hate women?

I never got that impression.
He never spoke on women’s hour or anything but he seemed perfectly pleasant to women presenters and fellow guests when appearing on Radio 4.
idk that he's harbouring aggression towards women but if he was born today he'd probably be one of those weird gay incels who rant online about how all men should be celibate if they can't be gay because Womennnn. He thinks women are incapable of enjoying sex and only do it to get into / maintain relationships, because women don't go out dogging.

He said: "If women liked sex as much as men, there would be straight cruising areas in the way there are gay cruising areas. Women would go and hang around in churchyards thinking: 'God, I've got to get my f------- rocks off', or they'd go to Hampstead Heath and meet strangers to shag behind a bush.
IIRC he's also got in trouble for criticising women for not looking the part / making enough of an effort in the past, which is another gay incel topic.
