Hey Barb you know that channel we gave you that you ran into the ground and was a total failure? Wellllllllllllll, how about you do the same thing but this time with women and rot pockets?!

What a complete fucking bitch how far are you up your own ass. Also a dumb trans fag 04E67414-C861-4807-8D1B-9FD8E2FDFCB2.jpeg C8D4F31A-B8D5-4EFE-B2CD-6BB588356BCE.png

Didn't even know that Squad Team Force had a youtube, never mind that they'd been chugging along for over two years. Let's sort by popular and see what's going on there.

Two years and only seven videos broke over a thousand views. Sad. However they had a tiktok and youtube shorts, which were seemingly doing a lot better. Makes a bit of sense since this branding was clearly a "how do you do fellow kids" attempt to get a younger demo, and tiktok is where they are.

I don't know enough about tiktok to know how good these numbers are. They had some tiktoks as well as a few youtube shorts that have broken into the millions of views. Since FIRST and the Rooster Teeth site are seemingly where the company's making money though, I'd imagine tiktok fame doesn't translate into a lot of money on paper for them. It's my understanding that tiktok people make money from sponsorships more than anything, I don't think its like youtube where you can get paid for ads.

The reddit thread is expressing basically all the same sentiments: either they pointedly stopped watching when squad team force became a thing or else didn't even know that squad team force was a thing, surprise its been going so long, and a lack of surprise at squad team force's end.

I don't know too much about tiktok, but while 1m views on YouTube generates a good pay, 1m views on tiktok is maybe a couple of bucks pay. There's a reason why tiktoks are either just segments of actual content or the most generic shit that can be spammed.

Rooster Teeth is rebranding with a new logo and tagline "Just Playing".

Gotta love Matt's delusional quote here "Probably we've been a little overdue for a fresh coat of paint because we've been so busy evolving and staying ahead of the internet and all its changes". Fucking lol. Source is Variety.

I hate this. I hate this a lot. The old logo had some soul in its relative cheapness. This is corporate ass.

Holy shit that looks fucking awful. Nobody involved gives a shit anymore, and I'm looking forward to watching the rats try to swim away from the sinking ship.

Ugly, flat, corporate, and dull. Kinda reflects the company today. Also hard to read the blue rooster teeth against the red background.

Comment from hullum is pure copium.

Edit, it also makes me think of a political poster instead of media company. Same base red/white/blue color scheme.

Think that this is proof of some higher up corporate meddling? It's almost like a parody of modern rebrands, refinement culture at its finest. The old logo had soul, at least and I think it reflected the ramshackle, casual nature of the company when it started out. The transformation from old to new RT is now fully complete.

They couldn't just make a classic video without pushing one of their unfunny token hires. What a fucking disappointment,

The blue text on the orange background is completely unreadable. Don't they have a whole team who work on graphic design for their merch? Which nepo hire shat out this abomination?

Matt said that they never got around to doing this rebrand because reasons. So I think the plan was to always have this done, but the fact it's for the 20 years makes me think that this is an idea to make themselves look good on a portfolio and a business card. And then you got the most viable IP having a distribution deal with Crunchyroll the form of RWBY V9. So if this isn't corporate meddling, then I assume this is just RT making moves that they think will look good in front of corporate.

how come wbd doesn't ditch them?
Because RT is such a small fry that they're an insufficient blip on the radar and the reports. Also, I guess there's the belief that RWBY is still a viable IP.
