I tried tying flat weights to the bottom of my keyboard, I wanted to create a >30lb keyboard, so that I could hold it like a roman slab or a stone chiseling, a tablet of scripture while I type with one hand on the kiwifarms.

It did not go over so well, turns out when you have a really heavy keyboard, if you drop it the keys become projectiles and it bends your aluminum keyboard slightly making it harder to put the keys back on.

I think I might be onto something though. If I spend >4 hours a day on a desktop computer at a desk— would a heavy keyboard be a good idea?

You will drop it on your foot or break something eventually given that much time spent around it.

Sadly i can think of no solution to sedentary habits other than breaking them

What's the benefit? Are you saying you would lift it?

Romans used reusable wax tablets for record keeping, they didn't haul around big stones like Moses coming down to see people worshipping a cow like Indians.
