Robyn Hood is a Canadian action drama television series described as a modernized reimaginingof the English legend of Robin Hood. Created by music video director and filmmaker Director X, the series stars Jessye Romeo, Nykeem Provo, Idrissa Sanogo, and Daniela Kharlamova. It airs on the Global Television Network and stream on StackTV.
Premiering in September 2023 with an eight-episode run, the series follows the young activist rapper Robyn and her anti-authoritarian masked hip-hop band The Hood living in a working class area in the fictional city of New Nottingham as they battle with "the corrupt elite" including a property developer and The Sheriff. Corus Entertainment executive Troy Reeb described the series as a "dark and gritty take", featuring "a heroine challenging the status quo and fighting oppression".

Presenting the new show Youtubers that review/mock terrible shows will be watching this month. And it is about every single level of cringe you can imagine.

If you’re in Canada, you can apparently watch it for free here.

And the opening scene is up on YouTube. In case you’re wondering just how bad it is.

The bastardization of Robin to "Robyn" should tell you everything you need to know. Tbh, it looks like a low budget live action adaptation of Watch Dogs Legion and we all know how poorly that went over.

Been done, done better and done as a handful of storylines out of many.

Nah mang fuck deep storylines and compelling characters I need sassy black women in neon furry gimp masks.

There's already a comic called that. I doubt it's related though. Also, I think there was a Disney kids show called Sherwood about a modern day girl called Robyn Hood who was an archer who could go back in time to mess with Prince John.

Please. Send help, I'm dead.

Saw the first episode by way of Disparu's review. Nothing we haven't seen so far tbh. Nauseous and vile looking gremlins (passing as actors) with the hood (=puke) version of English.

It's below any artistic standard or entertainment value, and full of nogs (music), bastardizing one of children's favorite legends and coincidentally a great game "The Legend of Sherwood".

One more thing for Canada to be ashamed about.

This show's editing has no chill. I swear, there's no transitions between scenes to the point I swear some of the dialogue doesn't even finish. And nobody is able to act.

Though, I will admit, I kind of enjoy the concept of the Frier Tuck figure having a religious devotion to technology/transhumanism with his religious robes being material that fucks with security camera and facial recognition software somehow.

This looks cheaper than normal CW shows that are filmed in Gaynada, which is saying something. Leafland won't even spend money for the most yass kween, inadvertently really racist show for their own audience?
