There are some surprisingly competent games on the platform, but the odds of the algorithm actually pushing them onto the front page enough to have players are close to zero. I would rather see games like this return, i don't care if they were badly made but its better than seeing retarded braindead games or shitty hangout games full of people asking for discord names and wearing degenerate outfits.

The difference was most of the games back then were actually being made by children / teens without outside input (DISCORD), so they were amateurish but in an authentic and amusing way

Worst bit about it is I was shocked to find out (through osmosis) that there's seemingly a booming industry of making NSFW 18+ pornography/models (etc) through Roblox, I ended up down a rabbit hole because I ran into someone on discord who was posting their long lineups of custom naked/NSFW models on that game, I told them that was obviously fucked up and gross, they went with "No it's what a lot of people do" so I did some checks and it's fucking true.

It shocked me to see how many submissions on sites like Rule34 and video sites are essentially Roblox animations using their models and stuff. The worst bit was this guy was apparently (as he claimed to me, wasn't going to start sniffing around him, I left the server promptly after all this) only just 18 and had been making them for some time according to him, it seems kids are incentivised to make these kinds of models and do this stuff because there is an industry behind making the models and the pornographic material. This has been going on for fucking years.

Considering the situation on the platform, I can see single-player games, especially horror ones, becoming more popular in the near future. That or any that have good game play loops that don't rely on social features.

There wasn't nearly enough caution expressed over the DeviantArt tier fetish content that took hold in the 2000s, was extremely prolific throughout the 2010s, and now is irreversibly fucked up now that we're halfway through the 2020s. Fart porn, cartoon/furry characters, fat fetishism, whatever else of that general ilk, I feel like it went completely unnoticed by older generations who belonged to the real world and not the Internet.

Now it's to a point where entire generations have been left to explore EPI hellscape websites, get groomed, and suffer the silent trauma of being shut indoors for a pandemic and have nothing to do but go online. Get used to Roblox porn becoming more and more popular. A staggeringly large percentage of young people from here until the Internet completely burns down will be into the weirdest crap that you can imagine.
