Disaster Road rage shooting ignites fireworks inside of vehicle - Explosive tempers and volatile situations

Surveillance video from a Texas gas station captured an inferno caused after a gunshot ignited fireworks and nearly killed a family of four.

Two adults, a toddler, and a baby suffered “severe burns” in the fire, KPRC-TV reports.

“Witness Peter King said the situation started when a man and his family were buying fireworks and got into an argument with another man who parked behind the man’s truck, blocking the family in,” the station reports.

The truck was followed to a nearby gas station, where a gun was brandished.

The family attempted to leave, but the man discharged his weapon, igniting the fireworks the family had just purchased.

“When he jumped in his truck to leave the other man started shooting at him,” King said. “(The explosion) sounded like a cannon. Everybody started running and getting out the way. It was a horrible feeling to see something like that.”

Bystanders were able to rescue the family from the burning truck, but not before they suffered severe burns.

“The two children were (taken via Life Flight) to UTMB Galveston with severe burns,” Harris County Sheriff’s Detective Tom Turner said. “The mother was also transported (and) the father has since been transported.”

Authorities are searching for the gunman, who was last seen driving a late model Ford Expedition. Authorities believe there were three other people in his vehicle at the time of his attack.

People are cunts. This is why I don't argue or honk at other drivers. I don't want to wind up in a gunfight while I'm on the way to the store to buy potatoes, because some dumb shit doesn't like how I beeped at him.

Stuff like this is the reason that if I accidentally cut another person off and know I did it (get the honking and everything) I'll occasionally pass my exit to the next one if the other guy is still behind me, just in case I accidentally tripped a road rager and don't want him to know where I live.... you can't be too sure these days.

If it weren't for the injuries, the truck going full Electric Mayhem Tour Bus would've been hilarious, though.

You have to admit a gunshot setting off fireworks is very 4th of July.

Also America min/maxes high freedom for low safety. Thus seeing the odd car driving down the road with fireworks torching the inhabitants because a bullet was fired into them is a feature, not a bug.

Having to be air ambulance due to burns? not a good prognosis. They could still die. Hope they catch the guy and give him a needle.
They have to die before the death penalty comes in per the cucks on the US supreme court

Why don't you just own a gun?

Why don't you just own a gun?

I do, several in fact, and don't wish to use them over traffic offenses. I'm not afraid it's going to happen, just more a case of that "don't walk down a dark alley" mindset, even if you HAVE a gun, there's no need to up your chances of using it. If the dude DID follow me all the way home, I'd bolt straight from the car for the shotgun... but I'd rather I not have to do that, even if justified.

This kind of shit is why being in a car with my mom always made me a nervous wreck. That woman was always rolling down her window to flip someone off or yell at them. There are too many god damn people and that means more crazies that can't get over mean words or gestures.

I take it you're not Texan, now are you boy?

An armed society is a polite society.

Ever since I got my CCDW years ago, I'm one chill fuck in public. Getting into a dumb argument that ends with me needing to shoot someone? Nah.

Exactly People are less likely to start a tussle when they see 6 inches of something hard that will give them a new hole to poz.

Case in point I wore a trump hat in East Los Angeles and Santa Monica and didn't get one rude comment despite pretty much being in a communist version of Mexico, I chalk that up to a bowie knife on my belt though I had the police slow roll me alot

Oddly enough bowie knives were illegal to carry in Texas at that time.

On the other end of the spectrum, seeing guys wearing khaki shorts, open-carrying a full-size 1911, in a nylon Uncle Mike's holster, while wearing an Australian outback hat, with combat boots, don't really do much to intimidate me.

Knife regulation pisses me off to no end. The whole point of a knife is that if you draw it, you probably won't have to use it unless the other guy is a crackhead since knife fights are messy and its probably gonna be a trip to the ER for all combatants no matter who wins. Even with a gun you have that relative safety of being able to duck behind cover, like the asshole who lit up that truck did. You'd think openly carrying a big knife would be preferable to the law since its not hidden in any way, but nope. Just ban everything. Ban the possession of the most useful tool the human race ever created. All crime is now solved, better reduce the police budget. All in a day's work.

(I'll give them one thing, after obtaining and playing with a push-button switchblade for a few minutes, I did see how easily you could slash someone's face and neck out with it. Since you only need one button to deploy the blade, its very easy to hide in your palm and you can go from zero to shank in one tiny motion, moreso than any of the other spring-assisted knives I own.)
