You can buy a book and teach yourself everything you need to know for A+. A course isn't required. Now for higher level certifications yeah, you need formal training, but A+ is one you can do on your own.

A degree from the University of Phoenix is literally not worth the money it's printed on.
The only time you should ever use one of those worthless schools is if your already in a position and for a promotion/pay upgrade is you need the degree box checked.
