Resident Evil - Virgin Vampire Wine Mom vs Chad Magnetic Lebowski

So because of GTA Trailer 2 having that one shot of the girl's ass in it...I finally got my one friend into some of the games that I like instead of just playing RPG's and Call of Duty games. All the various Rockstar games, Halo series, other titles...Now, finally Resident Evil.

I pleaded with him to play the originals first and luckily he happens to have both an Xbox and a PS and the PS has the Original Trilogy on them. So he's starting off with the classic games instead of just starting with the remakes. Gotta make sure people start correctly.

I like Remakes, if the game is good that is, but one of my major problems with them is people always automatically assume the remake is better than the original which isn't always the case. Sometimes the remake is better, sometimes it's worse.
But for good games that get remakes, playing both is like playing two different good games so the OG shouldn't be skipped.

In other news, I'm glad that the OG fans are pushing back against these tourists in regard to the Code Veronica remake. Leon is my favorite character in RE but you can clearly see the tourists over-glaze him to the point of insanity.

Leon's has had uber fans since RE4 but it never felt more than it actually was. That is until Requiem. And that is pretty infested with retarded women that never played an RE before that, or at all. The fact that these tourists genuinely believe Leon should be in Veronica is all you need to see how fucking retarded the community has become.

CVX has always gotten hate over the years, and most of it is very justified. But it was never anything but quality of life changes that felt needed. It's the one game in the series I feel could massively benefit from a good remake because the original does have a clunky, but generally good game underneath.

I don't see the need for remaking bad games that weren't liked from the beginning, like Zero. While it would benefit too, you would need to gut so much of it that it wouldn't even resemble what people knew.

While I was against RE1RR, I don't really care anymore. It'll either be very good (unlikely) and better than RE1R (nearly impossible) but maybe it can correct some things that I feel were misses in REmake. A true ending with all four characters surviving. Better acting, since RE1R has trash acting since it's just the 96 script but played dull. And having all the live choices that keep Barry alive or kill him.

Mhm. I think it's because we've technically gotten a lot of Leon lately. They remade two of the biggest games in the series that happen to have him as the protagonist and then he's the protagonist of 9. Personally I wish 9 would've been Chris going after that rogue wing of the BSSA like he said he was gonna do at the end of 8 and then did something with Leon for 10.
I'm glad Code Veronica is getting a Remake because now the people bitching about "Where's Claire????" will shut the fuck up.

It's a lot of tourist women thirsting for Leon but also tourist men. Just sick of it. Love my dude Leon but the glazing is getting tiresome.

I expect they'll get rid of the fixed camera angles and tank controls and turn it into RE4 with an RE1 skin.

Y'know, I kind of miss having multiple games cover one outbreak. The reason Raccoon City is so beloved is because we had 10 or so games about it and the surrounding area. RC is probably just documented as Silent Hill at this point. But its hard to take these new BOW viruses/parasites/molds seriously when they're almost all a one and done deal, two if they're lucky. E.g. at least three different cities get fucking wiped out in 6, and 9 even opens with another outbreak, but its never mentioned again afterwards. It makes all these world ending events feel inconsequential. The closest we get to that old feeling is 7, just because it had so much dlc revolving around the Baker estate and what went down there.

An outbreak file 3 could fix this. Have certain levels take place during different incidents, give us more time with the world. But nah, Capcom needs to shit out yet another RE2R clone.

it was a different time, a better time, games came out a year, maybe less, apart, and thus the focus could be about something like the same city or the aftermath around it (CV is absolutely affiliated despite being on an island off of Africa)

now games take 6-8 fucking years, and for some reason they want to keep events locked to the year they came out, so it wouldn't make sense to have the same area have an outbreak 6 years later 3 times in a row.

everything about the industry, except the technicalities of the games, such as graphics or mechanics, is fucking worse than it was in the late 90's early 00's. its funny in a way

Sorry, can't hear you, playing a great game.

7 is also good but only the first 2 hours, the last hour sucks. The bonus stuff was specifically an apology because they rushed the end of the game, which is why there's so many bonus modes in 7 included with the season pass. Originally it was just meant to be the 2 additional campaigns. 7 Had development issues because of the VR integration. Which makes it all the weirder to include first person in 9 when the whole reason the series went first person was for VR.

playing as Jake is like a dream, such an unbelievably overpowered character in a good way, and was basically the most liked part of that entire game, weird he never came back, guess he's viewed as too OP, which is fine, have him be a side segment where he just goes Cuhrazzy on shit that was hard previously.

He's not op at all?? Piers is the most broken character in the game. Dudes got a railgun that instakills anything line of sight at all ranges.

Used all the liquid nitrogen, unloaded all my ammo into his head and the elevator still wouldn't show up. This guy can take 3 full magnum clips on hard difficulty, and I was in a bad run I only had one and whatever shotgun ammo was left.

If you can't kill him before the elevator comes down you essentially have to leash him and hope you can do all the QTEs perfectly. If you try and use a weaker gun after you've used up all the liquid nitrogen he will actually shake his finger at you as if to say "no no, stalker child".
Had to just throw my hands up and buy the rpg cause I'd wasted a saturday night on this shit.
What was your load out?
I always do no RPG (and you cannot sell them) professional runs to spice things up, and I guarantee that you can kill all the bosses using some combination of Broken Butterfly/ Killer7 + TMP + Semi-auto Rifle.
Verdugo does take reduced damage when he is not frozen. As a matter of fact, in professional, I think you always have to shoot him without nitrogen for a bit in order to kill him (in addition to all the normal nitrogen DPS time windows)
Here was my 1st no-RPG professional attempt ever, back when the 2014 Steam remaster first released. This was pre-RE4HD, so controller was the only practical way to play this. I limped to the jet ski with basically 1 HP.

Nowadays, you can use RE4HD with raw mouse input and whatnot, making this game significantly easier with modern mouse aiming.

I used to use the "safe" load out (Red9 + Striker + Broken Butterfly), but over the years I discovered:

Blacktail >>>> Red9: Red9 is overrated. If you need damage on your handgun you are using it wrong. Blacktail is better in every single other way (even DPS), and takes only half the space vs Red9 + stock.

Striker is objectively the better shotgun + has that speed runner trick, but I am still partial to Riot Gun sometime due to the aesthetic and shoulder aiming. Striker aims from the hip, which throws me off sometime. Also going with Riot Gun gives you a smoother shotgun progression in the castle.

Broken Butterfly if you plan to carry it over to the 2nd+ run. Killer7 for single run.

TMP is a god tier gun. Best DPS for a good chunk of the main campaign. Cheapest bullet so you can shoot objects and set up melee with it.

My loadout was very basic.

Blacktail (cause it looks cool), TMP, standard shotgun, Semi-Auto cause I prefer the reload, recently purchased Broken Butterfly

I heard the mine thrower and the other two shotguns weren't very good so I skipped those.

Like I said i was having a bad run, I think I may have burned through too much ammunition during the twin garrador encounter and decided to buy a magnum late since I'd focused on upgrading my other weapons instead. This was my first professional playthrough, and for whatever reason even though the game was kicking my ass I think I ignored the free rpg just so i could feel like a real major league gamer.
Another problem I was having is that Verdugo's AI is inconsistent, either he will make a B Line for you and claw your head off or he will do the QTEs which are easy to handle. If you run out of liquid nitrogen it can be a crapshoot to get him not to just rush you. TMP and handgun are very good weapons but are basically useless in this fight once you run out of nitrogen, they don't stun him fast enough and he will wag his sassy lil finger at you.

This is where you messed up.
There is a free BB in one of castle room, which locates in the outdoor corridor where it lead to the maze garden with the dogs, before you meet Ada the first time. You need Ashley to get in, but the first time you come across the room you are very likely to be alone.
So, after getting Ashley back (the part where Luis die and you play as Ashley), you backtrack to that room for the free BB and some golds/ treasures.

Oh man this takes me back when I first played RE4
I fucked up like he did, then chose to sell them all for the Killer7. Then because I was “n00b xd xd” I was getting raped by Jack constantly
The way I defeated him was so absurd we literally screamed and trashed the room, so much so my dad whooped our asses I was so desperate I had to DBZ scream while waving the combat knife at him right when he did his counter attack. He fucking died :story:
Turns out that was his severe weakness all along but I didn’t know that until a decade after the fact
