The connections were only mentioned in 7 and 9, 6 had neo-umbrella and "the family" which is a totally different evil conglomerate that is just a stand-in for the illuminati. 8 has no mention of them at all since the bad guy is totally contained to the village. Also as far as I'm concerned any RE Title that takes place after 9 will always be met with "well why aren't they using elpis?" So the story will be forever dumb.

I hope that doesn't mean future entries are going to heavily feature human enemies because the Elite Squad was probably the worst and most annoying combat encounter in RE9.

Or is it going to be years as they dribble out uninspired, painfully rehashed and cheap DLC for 9? I'd take some content that added more stuff like the trauma centre AND the Coon City Boogaloo but separated properly since I felt like neither were given enough time to breathe and should have been totally separate campaigns but whatever.

Just frustrating that the base game is so schizo and obviously hacked together from different design documents to make something, anything they could sell.

I'm playing through OG 4 again and it's just so much fun. The HD project is a tremendous work of autism and some parts are harder than I remember while others are piss easy with M+Kb.
