I thought a thread already existed on this, but I guess not.

Looking for guides, information, trusted resources and references for how to do common household tasks and repairs.

The default answer is to use professionals for everything, even when it seems like a simple job. These are the same kinds of people who will "know a guy who will do it cheaper" and completely ruin their bathroom renovation. The other extreme is YouTube videos where they casually walk into their "shop" which contains 10k of specialist tools and equipment.

The only one I really know of is "Dad, How do I", a channel which teaches common tasks that are largely assumed knowledge.
