Arkansas Rep. Justin Harris made the news when it was revealed that he "re-homed" his two adopted daughters to a pedophile who later raped one of them. The girl was six-years-old.

Now that the details of the girls' time with the Harris family are coming to light the story is getting stranger and stranger. The sisters, who came from a heavily abusive background, suffer from severe mental illness due to trauma. This apparently led to Harris and his wife believing that the older sister was possessed by demons and even hired exorcists to cast it out.

Words cannot describe just how strange, fucked up, and tragic this entire story is.

Interestingly enough Justin Harris is also a hypocrite, though I'm sure that doesn't surprise anyone. He supports a bill that would make re-homing a felony, but that's exactly what he did when he handed the two sisters over to a pedophile. At least the bill passed. So that's something to be happy about.

And yes, as that second article pointed out, Harris had employed the pedophile as a teacher at his pre-school. I really hope no other children were assaulted.
