Community Watch is back.

I don't think it's clear what I'm doing with "big boys". That is not a forum. That is a category. It is a category that sits inside a category for the purpose of segregating the lolcow threads but keeping them together. I've renamed it Prime Cuts. If I can make its intent more obvious let me know.

Segregating these threads into a category is fine I guess. But the downside is that you don't get the latest thread activity for all of them without having to enter the category. You could see activity of each one before at first glance off the main page. I don't suppose it would be possible without any custom work to make the latest activity display separately for each of these?

For example you can only see activity in the DSP forum because that's the latest category somebody posted in.

Please consider:
1. Letting users find replies quickly by implementing a search option for "posts which quote the selected post" or putting a link to the results page of such a search as a fifth option next to report, like, quote, and reply.
2. Letting users search for or see who (((the users they have disliked))) have liked the most, or using this search to recommend forum content to users. This is because negative reactions are usually more stirring than positive reactions, and the most liked posts of the other users that the target user has disliked (that is: the highest scored posts that have received (A>1) likes from the set of users whose posts that the target user has disliked (B) times, where the score is A*B) are most likely to stimulate user engagement.

Infested is a much better term than diseased/plagued, it's a more clear indicator that a thread is full of pests it's supposed to document

Unrelated: it would be cool if there was a "signature" a user can choose to insert in the profile/bar (one with the join date) that pops out when you click on a user's name. So users can show off whatever of their own posts they're most proud of or find funny.
Something about forums I always liked that there was a level of customization that rings back to the old internet. Most of the implementation of signatures are quite obnoxious but they're still charming in a way.

Agree, you have a decent idea there. I still think it needs at least 2 tiers to seperate "spergs come in here more often an usual" to "basically a thread for fans of the thread topic"

Nool, I like Big Boys being renamed to Prime Cuts, very clever. I think BP subheading doesn't read clearly (right now it's the "space" itself that is doing the verbing). A quick emdash could clear things up and probably be the easiest to implement, (assuming this is what you meant to convey): "A women's space— figures in cosplay, makeup, and health culture, including all their entangled friends, rivals, and drama." If you want to revamp it entirely, something like: "A women’s space for the figures in cosplay, makeup, and health culture — plus the friends, enemies, and drama orbiting them."

This is a really cool idea. And there's an easy way of implementing it too.
Create a single locked thread wherever and only allow staff to post in it. Then update it every other day with links to the post/thread alongside the feature text.

Glad you're taking feedback. Unsure if this is the right thread but I'm surprised Claudio's thread wasn't moved to Stanchion given what happened. You don't have to reopen it if you don't want to, but I feel like Stanchion is still a more fitting place for it.
