I just found it odd that the media always tries to claim we bully troons into necking themselves, but how many actual people have commited crimes and whatnot becuase of Reddit?

Forget about suicides, remember that time r/relationshipadvice cost a man his two children's lives.
It's likely the psycho wife would've killed the kids no matter what, so it can't be blamed on Reddit. It's retarded to ask for advice on Plebbit, but this story being archived for the world to see is why the Internet is such a wonderfully treacherous place to be.

Jonathan Sapirman, the Greenwood Park Mall shooter, was an active redditor who frequently visited and talked in true crime subreddits. He killed 3.

Connor James Sturgeon, the Louisville Bank shooter, was an extremely active and well liked redditor, with tons of his posts getting 10k+ upvotes at least. He killed 5.

(Before anyone points out others, i’m choosing these two in particular because these guys didn’t just have reddit accounts, they actively used and posted reddit.)

The common satirical catchphrase "we did it, Reddit" comes from their failed attempt at identifying the perpetrator of the Boston bombing years ago. They I.D.'d the wrong guy, ruined his life, and directly caused him to commit suicide.

Man, have to look for it, but that reminded me that there was some dickhole who was so assmad he had a child, he killed it and it turned out he was an r/childfree poster.

Not quite - the accused kid was a missing person at the time of the bombing and reddit mismatched his image with that of one of the perpetrators. They were wrong though, the person whose image they plastered around was actually missing because days earlier he'd killed himself for reasons unrelated to either reddit or being a terrorist. The frenzied autofellatio over the event was a thing to behold, I'm glad I had dropped back to lurker at that time.

No notch in reddit's bedpost for this one on the causative deathlist ... but there is no question this young man's family suffered in unique and anguishing ways ON TOP of learning about their loved one's suicide, all because of le reddit sleuthz.
