The subreddit R/ PoliticalCompassMemes has been completely taken over by leftists. There was a post talking about the demographic changes in the U.K and there were a lot of leftists comments doing the typical "Who cares about who the majority of people of a country are. As long as they share our values". Also, someone was banned for responding to a comment saying "Good luck getting Germans, French, Brits, Poles, etc to unite on these demographic changes". and the response that got banned was "If black people from around the world are suppose to be united all because some black guy in America got killed by a cop then surely white people can do the same over the demographic changes" and that was enough to get the user banned.

Man that's disappointing; this used to be one of the last holdouts of Reddit where a large chunk of the userbase were actually AuthRight and most of the time retarded leftists were actually downvoted. I remember it was so bizarre to see. This change must've not happened even that long ago bc I distinctly remember Trump winning the 2024 election and it was the only sub where people were actively celebrating.

Reddit was big into atheism early on, just like SomethingAwful and the other big forums of the 00s. All of them were also very libertarian interestingly enough, and now they’re all as leftist as it gets. Curious how that transformation happened

SJWism became the hot new thing to latch onto in order to own the fundies once creationism became a dead horse. Also the "libertarianism" of these communities was dudeweed lmao lolbertarianism, closer to just being libshitism without overtly leftist characteristics. It was easy for bad faith actors to glowop all these websites and shift a bunch of overton windows so that they went woke liberal and then tankie leftist.
One example: reddit used to support free speech, but then you had to be decent, and then you must not be offensive, and then certain speech became problematic, and then you had to self-censor, and now you can't even comment on what is obviously reality.

The funny thing is, making it harder to access pornography doesn't actually stop people from masturbating. So their objections are essentially just that: whining that their easy access to free wank-bank material is being taken away.

To be fair I do worry about how shit companies are with private data and how easily it could get leaked etc. but that raises another obvious point: they're embarrassed about watching porn, what porn they watch, and/or how often they watch it becoming public knowledge. Or at least some might be, which gives me hope for their rehabilitation (since shame is an important part of it.)
